SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is endorsing Mitt Romney for president.

Haley said Friday on Fox News she is throwing all of her support behind Romney in the Republican primaries. She says jobs, the economy and spending are most important and the former Massachusetts governor is the best candidate to address those issues.

Haley also says President Barack Obama seems most afraid to face Romney.

Haley is a rising star in the GOP, and her endorsement means a lot in South Carolina, the first Southern state to hold a primary election.

Romney will appear with Haley Friday afternoon in South Carolina. Haley says they will campaign together Saturday.

THE OTHER NIKKI STORY
Haley dealing with health insurance committee controversy

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Gov. Nikki Haley is under fire for her stance on the work of a special health insurance committee.

Haley stands accused of dictating the outcome of that committee's task -- doing so even before the committee was formed and began a series of meetings to determine the  Read More...

Does it matter? At the rate she's going, Haley will be out of office and in prison before long.

RON PAUL REMINDS ME OF ROSS PEROT.WAY OUT IN LEFT FIELD WITH MOST OF HIS ANSWERS
05:58 AM on 12/17/2011
Actually, that would be "right field". And by the way, although I thought Perot was nuts at the time, can anyone now look back and say that he was wrong? All of these free trade agreements destroyed our nation. Before 1992, Wal Mart had banners hanging in all of the stores, "Proudly Made in the USA". Not now. You can't buy a pack of gum made in the USA now. So, what is wrong with Ross Perot? Turns out, he was right. Accordingly, if you do some research on Ron Paul all the way back to the 70s, you will find out he's been right on most of his predictions also. And he's been saying the same thing for 30 years. No flip flopping with RP. Don't listen to what the media tells you, about he doesn't know anything about foreign policy, in fact, his views on wars and foreign policy are simple - they are Constitutional. He says he won't get involved in another nation's business unless Congress votes on it and we have a clear exit strategy. Here's two things that both Bush and Obama were lacking in. Seriously consider a vote for Ron Paul in your primary.

Sticky figures the Mitt Romney, would be the wealthiest President in history if elected, do you think that the country will go for that, because his business experience is giving away the farm and getting paid for it just like Perry, Newt, Mitchell is listening to her god I believe its the one of this world and the Holy One.
01:19 AM on 12/17/2011
It figures she endorses Mitt, both of them are crooks with a questionable history. Politics is the only job in which you can be a legal crook, just as long your hand isn't caught in the cookie jar. If I did what these guys have done I would be in Leavenworth with the only hope of getting out is when Jesus cracks the sky. God hates sin .

Yeah, Angelina Jolie is just so homely, right? And Man Coulter and that dog-faced Michelle Malkin are hot, right? The problem is that Republicans have no taste.
06:01 AM on 12/17/2011
Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight are both Conservatives. There are actually many conservatives and Republicans in Hollywood that are good looking, they just try not to mention it, or they won't be able to get work. And Paris Hilton. Patricia Heaton, both Republican.

The right may ignore all the lies of this primary season but the middle and left will not. Obama will win easily. Polls mean nothing on election day. Except for the poll showing the win by numbers.
12:54 AM on 12/17/2011
The only way obama wins again would be through illegal measures

One condition of the endorsement is that Mitt has pee in a cup.
11:05 PM on 12/16/2011
Wow! This is great news for the GOP. Two unknown people, Christine O'donnel and Nickey Haley endorsing Mitt Romney. Romney's valet agreed to endorse him as well, based on the tips he gets next time he parks Mitt's Rolls Royce.

Does Nimrhata plan on returning that million bucks to the fed which she scammed for an "independent study" on giving her constituents more adequate health care?...or is this her "bridge to nowhere" money?

And of course, then try to blame it on Obama somehow. Nice trick.

$1 Million to job-starved South Carolina or $500 Million to Solyndra to win votes from environmentalists and union labor. Where is the corruption again? Probably both. I'm just trying to be fair. Don't defend one and criticize the other. Both parties are ripping us off. Wake up America.
09:44 AM on 12/17/2011
Solyndra loan was concieved by Bush (google it), and the $4trillion for Iraq and unfundede drug program pretty much trumps anything the Dems have mustered.Nimhrata Haleyu took money for an "independent study" and then told the panel what their findings were going to be. At least Solyndra was done in ernest. Nimhrata basically stole fed funds. Another "30 %er" of U.S. GOP governors

What a big ole slap in the face to all the Tea Party Conservatives that got you elected! You'd have done MUCH better backing Ron Paul if you really wanted to do the right thing.

I'm a Ron Paul supporter but I would have even been ok with her supporting Bachmann since Bachmann really did push to get her elected. But Romney?? Really Nikki.... Romney? Dissappointing.

Yeah don't vote for him so a weaker candidate gets the nomination and loses to President Obama, a man even more out of step with them religiously.
10:04 PM on 12/16/2011
So who are they going to vote for, Obama, who goes to church once every other month whether he needs to or not??? We all remember his Christian minister from Chicago. Might want to think about your Right to Work status before you vote for Obama. SC almost lost Boeing to the Obama's Unions.
