Zac Efron flashed his new tattoo at an appearance in Tokyo to promote his lastest film, "New Year's Eve."

The actor was spotted with the word "YOLO' -- You Only Live Once -- scrawled the side of his right hand.

Is Zac's new tattoo his way of showing up he has a wild side?

Or is he just trying to keep up with "High School Musical" pals Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale who picked a few new tattoos recently.
