How about keeping those greens in your pocket and wish loved ones a sincere Merry Xmas?

Some forms of "plastics" are biodegradable, but I'm not sure that would be a good selling point for a condom. They can be made to be recyclable as well, but again, you want to recycle them?

Cute 'Stocking Stuffers'. The 'bottle opener' is nice. Also the 'cup wraps' and 'shower timer'. But my can opener has one already, the Paper cup wraps will decompose where the 'fabric' ones used more resources to make the cotton, process it, make into fabric, dye it, add stuffing, assemble it, workers transportation and the factory's power. Paper somewhat similar but will return to the earth. And the shower timer. I'll have to place it in the shower to SEE it, the packaging, plastics, and manufactering. I just use my Radio and limit my shower to a song! Remember the 3 R's of ecology...1) Recycle, 2) Reuse, 3) Reduce!!

green is a bad word and a rip off but obama endorses it.

Instead of a three buck timer, which may get lost and go unused, try a lower flow, concentrating shower head, that comes with an on/off button. (wet, stop, soap, rinse.) Initially more expensive, but savings accrue if you plan on using the shower for more than a month or so. Expect water bills to increase.

The vegan soap looks interesting, but actual size isn't detailed. Problem with most specialty stuff, trading on organic and vegan labels is that it's way over-priced. Odd, in that they don't spend any money on pesticides nor chemical fertilisers nor cost intensive animal by-products. (Less for more, isn't exactly a new concept in this country, but still odd.)

I was wondering when the Chicobag would make it to AOLpo's "green" section. No longer.
It's a nice concept, but more effective when you actually remember to bring them to the store with you. ;)

isn't that just the point of having a small bag on a key ring or belt. like onya bags over here. i've had a bag attached to my hand bag for ages now.

Indeed. Still I don't keep it attached all the time - disrupts my sleep. ;)
Actually, I have two of them, of different sizes. Remembering to bring them each and every time I go to a store is not an embedded habit just yet. When I go to a store that's close, and have forgotten, I often don't get a bag at all.
I do like that the local VA convenience store now uses biodegradable plastic bags.
Perhaps TMI (too much information.)

Buying crap you don't need is not eco-friendly

Stuffing your lunch into your pockets is rather messy. Perhaps you work at home. (I graciously left you an out.)
But I must agree that much of the stuff is useless. I wonder if the company making the reusable straw also makes a special cleaning brush for it. :)
Standard AOLpo "green" section fare.

They make tupperware type containers that are perfect for sandwiches. Added benefit of not having a smashed sandwich.

Better to buy crap you do need, and then latter have a garage sale or donate it to a thrift store.
