Victoria Beckham & Katie Holmes Help Each Other Get Dressed

We, being fashion mortals, must rely on our friends, mothers and online flash sales to assemble the perfect outfit for a night out. Not so for celebrities -- who needs a group of amateurs when you've got every top Hollywood stylist on speed dial?

Katie Holmes, apparently. In the January issue of Elle, the actress told the mag that she and pal Victoria Beckham, two of Hollywood's most fashionable gals, consult with each other when picking out those chic red carpet outfits:

Friend and fellow high-profile designer/wife Katie Holmes trusts Beckham's instinct too. "We go to the same events, and we'll call each other to ask, 'What color are you wearing?' " says Holmes. "I'm always interested in what she's liking for the season."

So cute! We wonder if Posh ever recommends anything besides platform Louboutins, oversized sunnies and solid-colored dresses. Better yet, perhaps the friends exchange kiddie clothing tips for little Harper Beckham and Suri Cruise?

Either way, it's style tidbits like these that humanize the larger-than-life stars, similar to when Gwyneth Paltrow explained her friendship with Beyonce with this amazing image:

"Our best times have been when we are just sitting around in sweatpants, having a glass of wine, chatting about life."

We're guessing Victoria never advises Katie to try a pair of sweats.

And it makes me sad to think about what's happened to Katie. One day she's a good Catholic school girl from Toledo, the next she's a complete freak in some cult. *sigh*

At least Posh is doing quite well. She's pretty much got it all.

I was never really interested in Victoria Beckham until I saw her 60 Minutes interview. To my surprise, she was very down to earth and very normal. She wasn't at all what I expected.. very nice surprise.. especially this day in age when we're bombarded with people like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Victoria appears to be one of the few genuine people in Hollywood.

I agree with you. In the tabloids she seems like an ice queen, but in interviews she actually seems like someone you'd want to be friends with! She just has this silly idea that she thinks she looks bad when she smiles, so she never does. If only she knew how lovely she looks when she smiles.

That's what i use to think to until i watched Victoria Beckham: Coming to America. She really has a great sense of humor and i like the fact that she admits that she can't sing well but found her calling in fashion. I wish the tabloids would stop portraying her so negatively.
