2011 Departures: Media Figures Who Stepped Down And Signed Off (PHOTOS)

2011 was a year of big shake-ups in television news and print journalism. The year was barely a month in when Keith Olbermann abruptly left MSNBC in January. His was the first in a long line of departures to come.

Television hosts signed off left and right, whether it was to spend more time with their families, start a new Internet-based channel or quit while it was still fun.
