Tax Kim Kardashian: Courage Campaign Ad Calls On The Wealthy Californian To 'Pay Her Fair Share' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Because Not Everyone Was Born A Kardashian

Right now Kim Kardashian is the California girl that everybody loves to hate, but the Courage Campaign is giving her a chance to redeem herself.

On Monday, the progressive online organization hit her with a video pitch asking her to endorse their campaign for the Millionaires Tax of 2012, a statewide ballot that would levy a higher tax on Californians who earn over $1 million a year.

According to their video, Kim earned $12 million in 2010, while the average middle-class Californian earned $47,000. However, the tax burdens for both are shockingly similar; Kim was taxed 10.3 percent while the rest of us were taxed 9.3 percent (in state taxes, we presume). It ends with a kicker line: "Not everyone was born a Kardashian."

In total, the entire Kardashian clan earned $65 million last year, reports The Hollywood Reporter, and Kim herself is worth a cool $35 million. Soon after her ill-fated wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries, The Wrap reported that the couple earned upwards of $18 million for broadcasting their lavish ceremony on E!, although the family vigorously denied that they profited from the four-hour special.

Since the divorce, Kim has been spotted working hard on her multiple endorsement deals and treating herself to some of Elizabeth Taylor's famous jewels from the recent auction.

Back in October at the height of the Occupy Wall Street movement, the Wall Street Journal asked her if she had a stance on income inequality. Her response? "No... not really." However, she did support the occupiers' right to protest.
