Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola Gets A Make-Under From XoJane (PHOTOS, POLL)

Here at HuffPost Style, we're big fans of the make-under. In an age of spray tans and fake lashes and raccoon eyeliner, the most savvy beauty experts can cut through the gunk and prove that less really is more.

xoJane is also a fan of the make-under, so much so that they undertook a major beauty challenge in the form of Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola of "Jersey Shore" fame.

Sammi, as anyone who's seen the show knows, is a pretty girl -- but like her fellow cast members she is a devoted worshipper at the Temple of Bronzer. And Eyeliner. And Falsies. And Flatirons. Basically, any makeup temple you can think of.

So xoJane's Cat Marnell and makeup artist Shannon Grey Williams of Ford Artists took the bronzed reality star and stripped away the layers, leaving just a few hints of color: a bit of brow pencil, a rosy tint on the cheeks and lips, a coat of mascara and a quick swipe of Dior's Radiance Booster pen.

The result? It probably goes without saying, but Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola looked like a whole new woman.

Sammie looks more like the girl next door with the make under. She could actuall do some modeling print work. She looks really pretty like a Jennifer Aniston.

Thats weird most people use the oven to kill themselves with the gas not the heat. Guess yours is electric if your actually going to heat it to 500 and not blow the piolet out so you can gas yourself lol

This show is such an embarassment to our country in general and to New Jersey in particular.

the show isnt an embarrassment, the fact that there are people besides the ones on the show walking around who act like they do is embarrassing. it's not 'reality' tv, it's scripted and directed to go in certain directions for entertainment value, however if you've ever been to certain areas along the new jersey coastline, you don't need this show to see people looking and behaving like the cast.

I beg to differ. It is and continues to be an embarassment. The fact is that this show is broadcast not only nationally but internationally. It is a hit in China. All so called reality shows are scripted in some form or another. No surprise there. Growing up in NJ and having spent many vacations down the shore, I am well aware of the general stupidity that sometimes goes on. But the most embarassing part is to see how vacuous and self centered these people are. People from other coutries watch this show and think we are all like this.
