'Storage Wars': Barry Weiss' Helicopter Camera Costs Him Big (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Barry Weiss knows the rules of these storage locker auctions, and yet at the last unit he still sent a high-tech helicopter with a camera mount inside on "Storage Wars (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on A&E). The rules clearly state you can only get a cursory glance without stepping inside the unit, so he should have known he wasn't going to get to make a bid after he stole a deeper look with his helicopter.

Perhaps he was just looking to have some fun and never intended to make a bid. But even his fun turned into disaster when the chopper slammed into the wall and crashed inside the storage unit. The auctioneer wouldn't let him go inside to fetch it or even get a stick to try and pull it out. "The helicopter is part of this deal," he declared. It was, after all, inside the locker now.

Luckily for Barry, the winning bidder was nice enough to return his helicopter to him free of charge. But his shenanigans cost Barry a shot at the storage unit, and the man who won netted an $18,000 profit. Hope it was worth the laughs.
