"The Wendy Williams Show" is on a holiday hiatus, but Wendy couldn't keep herself away from the daytime circuit. The talk show host visited "The Chew" (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) and vented her frustration that certain celebrities were saving their drama for a time when her show was in reruns. Williams tried to get the foodies at "The Chew" talking about Kobe and Vanessa Bryant's divorce, but it quickly became clear that they weren't blessed with Williams' gift for gossip.
After that swing and miss, Williams tried to bring up the news that Chaz Bono and his longtime girlfriend had ended their engagement, but no one at "The Chew" had even heard the news. Carla Hall threw her a bone and said she wasn't surprised. "With the testosterone, Chaz changes as a person," she observed. At that point, Wendy seemed to realize "The Chew" wasn't the perfect venue for her style of dishing and instead dug into Michael Symon's Crown Roast Pork and cabbage.
