Man Crosses Subway Track To Assault Stranger On 6 Train

Police are searching for an unidentified man who crossed the subway tracks at a 6 train stop on the Upper East Side and struck a stranger in the face, leaving the victim bleeding on the brain and with wounds to his head.

The assault occurred around 4AM at the 77th Street subway station, when the attacker got into a stare down with the stranger. He then jumped from the northbound end of the station and crossed over the tracks to reach his victim.

The victim was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and has since been released.

The alleged attacker has been described to be a black man about 30-40 years old, 200 pounds, and roughly six feet tall.
