'Geezer Bandit' Investigation Leads To Area Costume Stores (VIDEO)
Following the FBI's announcement that the "Geezer Bandit" may be more youthful than he lets on, the Los Angeles Times reports that authorities have served a search warrant to a costume store in San Luis Obispo. The warrant is for people who bought "The Elder," a mask that transforms its wearer into a wizened old man. San Luis Obispo is near Moro Bay, where the Geezer Bandit's most recent bank robbery took place.

A call to the FBI office in Los Angeles confirms that while the aforementioned search warrant was carried out by the Moro Bay Police Department, the FBI has sought cooperation from the manufacturers of these masks throughout the two-year long investigation of the Geezer Bandit.
FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller told the Huffington Post, "part of our investigation is to seek out who may have bought these masks and see if they have information that could help the investigation."
This indicates that authorities have suspected for some time now that the geriatric suspect may just be a younger person wearing an elaborate mask. The FBI officially released their suspicions in a statement on Wednesday after security camera footage from the Geezer Bandit's December 2 robbery shows that the suspect sprinted away from the bank at a speed unlikely for a 60-70 year-old-man.

Because the Geezer Bandit's bank robberies have spanned coastal cities from San Diego to Central California, multiple agencies have been working together on the case. FBI offices in San Diego and Los Angeles, the San Diego Police Department, the San Diego Sheriff's Department, and other local law enforcement departments are on the hunt. Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for information about the Geezer Bandit.
