Frosty Fail: HuffPost's David Moye Disastrous Performance of 'Frosty The Snowman' (VIDEO)

HuffPost Weird News   First Posted: 12/24/11 09:57 AM ET Updated: 12/24/11 10:29 AM ET

Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving, and we at HuffPost Weird News are in the giving spirit right now.

Mostly, we're giving staff writer David Moye the business for his humiliating fall while singing and playing ukulele in front of his son Owen's kindergarten class.

We hope you like this amusingly disastrous performance -- La Mesa Patch did.

Luckily, his wife, Jennifer, captured it so we can share it with you (you can hear her sighing at the end).

Interestingly enough, this is the second chair Moye has broken in a month -- he broke one trying to get out of it at Thanksgiving. That's why we require him to stand up when he's working.

As for Owen, he's gotten a one-of-a-kind gift from the incident. His classmates now tease him that he's "the son of the chairbreaker."

He fell out of the chair after it broke. Where do you see him mortified. Embarrassed perhaps.

Ok to all the people with comments like, well now that we pulled out of Iraq this is news, and China speeding up preparations for war blah blah blah, you must not have been too concerned with all of the impotant stories because you apparently took time out of your busy day to read this ridiculous story! Hypocrites!

The chair leg broke, Whoopie!!!!!! I hardly think that was a disaster, unlike this story being reported in the first place. I have a news tip for you HP. A man in Seattle sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at my sons school and stopped singing when the song was over.

Ok so the chair broke. I thought it was something far worse. I mean the kids barely cared. I think the little boy's dancing was more embarrassing.

Why would you humilate yourself and family like this?
10:57 PM on 12/25/2011
Bless him....Mr. all I can say is this...my family sings and the show must go on...you may get off key, the strings may break on the instrument, you may fall over in the floor, but just shake it off and keep going. You were doing a great job. I am sure one day your son will look back and appreciate that his dad took the time to go to his class and sing for them, and some day he will tell that story and say "hey dad, do you remember the time you were singing frosty and the chair broke" and it will have created a great memory. This is not a tragic event people. This is the stuff that makes us stronger and teaches us to roll with things. It builds character and teaches us to laugh at ourselves. I think this is the sign of a great dad. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Mortified? Disastrous? i dont think these words should have been used to describe this video at all. He didnt even fall on the ground or anything. I thot he was gonna stand up and the chair leg would be stickin outta his leg or somethin. Quit tryin to sell lame pointless stories!!
