It was nice to read that some of these younger actors wanted practical things like appliances.

Materialistic dorks every last one of them. What they need is a sense of humility and a big fat dose of reality. Instead of being fixated on no one but their own selfish selves, how about giving some one else the time of day.

If they are materialistic dorks then they are just like 99% of the First World. Because believe me those hundreds of folks were NOT at every mall in the country yesterday to buy world peace and hugs for everyone.

All of them should have Ms. Mitchell's wish (to be picked up for another season). With the money they can make on a sucessful show they can buy most of the other items they asked for.

There are many who would like a "home" just to put their appliances in,millions would love a job paying livable wages,etc..

If Santa doesn't bring what they want, they can always just go out and buy it anyway. Must be nice!

Well, some practica; items here. Kind of surprizing that they all didn't do the celebrity/star ego thing and mention expensive toys. I'd settle for a job that paid enough to cover all my expenses with enough leftover for a nice vacation somewhere.

I would sure give Ashley Benson her Chanel bag, on our date to where ever she wants to go. What a good looking girl! That doesn't seem like much to ask for. Regardless, the wants of most of these people seems to be very minimal. Seems like they could get this stuff themselves. Tonight, i spent the evening with my family, we didn't exchange gifts, but there was prenty of food, drinks, laughter, and love to go around. Had a real good time and we vowed to do this as much as we could during the course of the new year. what a good time we had, hope you all had one of those as well!!

What?? Why? They don't hate you, surely. Is it because you fried chicken in the nude? :) J/K Now you have me interested for some reason.

Some of these people asked for such material things...Gucci or Chanel bags, fancy cars, iPads...All I want for Christmas is to be with my family. I'll take that over presents any day.

As adults, Christmas is good only if you are middle class. If you are poor, you can't buy anything. If you are rich, you have everything. If you are middle class, you make enough money to pay the bills, but not to buy "frivilous" things. That's what Christmas as an adult is all about. Getting things you want, things that you just can't see buying for yourself. I was just think that today. Rich people don't need Christmas.

Some rich people do need Christmas - the religious side of Christmas.

They 'need' the profits off of Christmas-it is part of their psyche...

You know, I don't think that's true. I remember way back when my first serious boyfriend and I moved to NYC, and we had nothing, we were totally totally broke. So we gave each other everyday kinds of things -- hand lotion, a six pack of beer, that kind of stuff -- but wrapped up as well as we could manage. I actually remember that as a very romantic, sweet Christmas. Sometimes, the thought really does count.
