Bill Maher: Jesus Just F*cked Tim Tebow Bad

Twitter continues to swell with a flood of complaints against comedian Bill Maher in response to a particularly scathing Tweet the outspoken television host made about Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow during Christmas Eve's Broncos-Bills showdown, NBC Sports reports.

Tebow had just thrown his fourth interception of the game (the Broncos eventually lost 14-41) when Bill Maher Tweeted to his roughly 872,000 followers:

Wow, Jesus just fucked #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler "Hey, Buffalo's killing them"

Choosing not to respond to the crack, or perhaps unaware of it, Tebow's post-game Tweet made no mention of Maher:

Tough game today but what's most important is being able to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas everyone GB²

Others however decided to take Maher head-on. The Tweet spurred a huge reaction on Twitter from the many conservatives and Tebow fans who were outraged by Maher. Eric Bolling of Fox News shot back at Maher with the Tweet:

Bill Maher is disgusting vile trash. I can't even repeat what he just tweeted about Tebow..on Christam Eve. #straighttohellBill

Some fans are even calling to boycott Maher by canceling their subscriptions to HBO, the channel which airs Maher's show "Real Time with Bill Maher," Fox News reports.

It remains to be seen whether the Maher backlash will stem the recent tide of Tebow-lampooning, which often pokes fun at the quarterback's religious ardor. Tebow has been vocal about his Christian values, famously starring in a controversial pro-life Superbowl commercial while he was still in college. Upon entering the NFL, his in-game ritual of kneeling on the field and praying to God inspired the popular Internet meme "Tebowing." The past few months have seen both a sketch on Saturday Night Live and an article in The Onion.

Will Maher reprise his controversial tweet during next week's Broncos game? Either way he plays it, and whether the Broncos win or lose, they'll still win the AFC West title and earn the No. 4 seed.

They did blow a 20-6 lead. Although Tebow looked OK, he was only great in one quarter. The winning pass was a good one, but the TD was created by the Steelers' blown coverage (where was the safety?) and Thomas' speed.

I don't like all this love-Tebow, hate-Tebow business, but I'm still glad the Steelers lost.

Lets see - did Tebow get any real protection in the pocket? NO he didn't! I would have loved to have seen Billy boy (or you) trying to evade the defense Tebow had to contend with. Neither of you would have lasted 60 seconds. Both of you would either have been carried off the field on a stretcher or you would have simply ran off the field screaming for your momma. Denver was outclassed at every aspect of the game, not just QB. How many QBs can you name that can win playoff games without lots of real quality teammates???

Tebow leads Broncos overly heavily favored Steelers in the playoffs, throwing for over 300 yds, including a dramatic 80 yd TD in OT. Now I dunno if God's hand is on the boy, and is using him for His greater glory, I'm inclined to think so. I mean how else does he do it? His mechanics not even close to that needed to be a NFL QB, yet he does what he does. The fact Maher said all this, only makes my point, people are talking about it, and in the end prolly what the plan is.

Anyway, next time Maher runs off at the mouth, he better remember what comes around goes around. He's really lookin like a ididot about now. I'll bet my next months pension Tim's name won't come up on the next his next show.

I'd say Tim had the last word on this, no matter what happens in the next game. He made his point.

Thats a matter of opinion, sell tickets to a Maher show in Mile High Stadium and 26 people might show up. And we all know how many show up every sunday to see the Broncos, most of them pulling for Tebow to well.

Maher is simply a child who whines and curses in order create shock and outrage among adults, feeling a sense of power and independence as a result-- and of course feeling pleased and clever as a result.
The natural response, therefore, is to DENY him this, but simply remove the reward by cancelling HBO (everything on it can be downloaded on torrent anyway), and inform the child that this is a sign of weakness and immaturity, and thus a sign of poor breeding rather than any unique or special merit.

First of all folks Bill Mahr is an athiest and a comedian, he doesnt care if he offends people!! If you really are getting offended you are just making him laugh, besides, Tebow is getting a bit tired with his praise jesus nonsense, he should just play the game he gets payed for! Is it just me or don't christians have a sense of humor? The one thing I don't understand is, and yes, I'm a football fan, he doesn't seem that bothered by losing. He is more concerned in pushing his religious views. After another loss he said something in the lockers room like well, it was tough but the most important thing is furthering my nonprofit work, or something like that. Hello, you're the quarterback, you should be concerned about losing the game and how you're gonna learn to throw the ball.

Is Tim Tebow a football player or the second coming of Christ? I believe he's a football player but it’s hard to convince his fans. Bill Maher sees this clear as day and he is taking advantage of it. Controversy help Bill pay the bills (pun intended). His fans need to stop taking up for Tim. He’s getting paid to take the heat. Everyone who pokes fun at Tim Tebow isn’t cracking on Jesus. They’re poking fun at Tim because his not doing well as quarterback and its fun to hear his fan cry in his defense.
