We love every single blog post we've published on HuffPost Divorce in the past year, from the personal essays to the helpful tips on everything from co-parenting to dealing with uncooperative exes to the humorous tales of post-divorce dating mishaps.

So when it came time to pick the blogs that sparked some of the fiercest debate, that went viral on Facebook and Twitter, that had the blogosphere and beyond buzzing, we had a tough time narrowing to just 11 from the hundreds we published. But we finally did (phew!) Below, the blockbuster final bunch.

Vicki Larson's buzzed-about piece cited research that suggests attractive men don't make good husbands. She referenced the Anthony Weiner scandal -- which was unfolding as the piece was published in June 2010 -- and suggested that Huma Abedin, Weiner's wife, may have been better off had she picked a less attractive and successful partner. This blog post prompted a great deal of discussion in the comments section and was "liked" nearly 20,000 times on Facebook.

My wife of 29 years & I are both 50. We both want a divorce. We have a 12 year old & a 21 year old in College. She wants to move solo to Europe & give up custody of our daughter. I am committed to doing whatever is best for my daughter. My wife hasn't worked in 12 years & at her age would be lucky to get any meaningful employment in Europe where she hasn't lived in thirty years. I would naturally prefer a joint custody decision as I believe it's in the best interests of my daughter . As the bread winner I work long hours & think our daughter would suffer from her mothers abandonment. My wife informs me that in NJ her leaving doesn't effect any claim she has & that she can do what she wants & has in fact no legal responsibility that I can enforce with our daughter as I'm here and subsequently its not abandonment on her part. She will not consent to a divorce where she is forced to have any custody & feels that by divorcing now her 50% will be from a bigger pie prior to my daughter going to college in the future at an age when my income , though good now, is in question. Is it that easy to walk away legally & take your 50% ?

If you have a girlfriend going through a divorce and she is also a mom, how can you best support her? By being a champion for her children. 'Cause if mamma ain't happy, the children sure could use a friend.
