"Growing Pains" star Tracey Gold will star in Syfy's "Arachnoquake." In the new original TV movie, Gold will battle some enormous anthropods alongside Bug Hall, Edward Furlong and Ethan Phillips.

In "Arachnoquake," a string of earthquakes unleash giant -- and ancient -- albino spiders. The spiders then go on a murderous rampage through New Orleans.

The film is scheduled to debut in 2012. Gold can currently be seen on "Starving Secrets With Tracey Gold," a Lifetime reality series about women suffering from eating disorders, and can next be seen in ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap," switching lives with Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson.

Bug Hall got his start in 1994's "The Little Rascals," where he played Alfalfa, Phillips is best known for "Star Trek: Voyager," and Furlong for "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."

"Arachnoquake" joins "Tasmania Devil" as part of the 2012 Syfy original movie line-up. In the latter, Danica McKeller, former star of "The Wonder Years," and Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Ohno will battle grizzly bear-sized Tasmanian Devils.

You know your acting career is not going well when you're in a Syfy movie called 'Arachnoquake'.

I am happy to see she still doing her thing as the show many had enjoyed for years had her ring to it and wonderful smile. It can add to anyone's day to know that she is back on screen. I might add that with all that the movie industry has been doing, they have come along way with the pressure that many have endured to be what some call a perfect size. There is no true perfection but close would always resinate around each individual and there specific requirements, example look at how Disney recently handled a request to pull a show for a joke that was made and they agreed without much interference, This does not mean that everything will be. Just a little in put for the numbers sake ,one of my sons favorite new shows is Jessie on Disney and I approve, not to say that there are not others he enjoys as well. I am happy for Tracy :) JTD

Those made for Syfy movies are the height of camp! Whoever thinks that stuff up is some kind of schmaltzy genius.
