Best Animal Videos Of 2011 (VIDEOS)

The end of the year is a time for reflection. A time to look back on the highs, the lows, the lessons and, if you're us, the best animal videos.

From Oskar, the blind kitty playing with his first toys, to baby chimp Milou who dances until he gets too dizzy, this certainly has been a good year for our furry friends.

Not all animals are as happy as these ones seem to be. Deforestation, poaching, and human encroachment are forcing many wild animals out of their natural habitats. As for dogs and cats, estimates suggest 4 million animals are euthanized in the U.S. alone each year. That one little bear looks like it is sick. It's very skinny and much smaller than it's family member. Hope it gains some weight.

My favorite was watching the sweet little blind Oskar made my eyes tear up, so touching, he has a home now, and some caring love.

All the videos are terrific, but my heart belongs to Oskar, the blind kitten. People who choose animal companions with special needs are pretty special themselves!

As for those kissing red pandas--get a room, please!! :)

Agreed.

I also adopted a blind kitten. Her name was Radar (but I should have named her "Sonar," cuz she could tell where the walls were by hearing the echos of her nails on her little feet as she walked on the hardwood floors.) She was the very best pet I ever had. She lived 19 1/2 years and I still miss her so very much.

Watching that Seal react to freedom was actually pretty damn powerful. I guess we humans aren't so bad all the time after all.
