Donald Trump placed sixth on USA Today/Gallup's annual list of the top ten most admired men and women living today. The list was released on Tuesday.
The poll, which started in 1948, took place between the dates of December 15-18, 2011. Respondents were asked to name the person they most admire. Respondents were asked, without prompting, to name men and women separately, as the poll generates two separate lists. According to Gallup, individuals who typically made the "Most Admired" list were public figures in "government, religion, business, entertainment or humanitarian causes."
Donald Trump was named the sixth most admired man living today, by one percent of the vote. Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres also made the top ten "Most Admired" list for women. Oprah, who has made the list a total of 24 times, was named the second most admired woman.
Donald Trump made headlines in 2011 for considering a run for president, and for briefly offering to host a Republican primary debate. Trump has also publicly feuded with multiple media personalities. View the slideshow below of Donald Trump feuds.
