Steven Tyler Engaged: Family Members Disgruntled At Surprise Engagement

Shortly after Erin Brady, girlfriend of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, flashed a sizable diamond ring on her hand while in Maui on Christmas day, rumors of disgruntlement among Tyler's family members are being leaked to the press.

TMZ reports that Tyler's family were unaware of the alleged engagement and are no fan of the 38-year-old Brady, who has been dating the 63-year-old "American Idol" judge since 2006.

Among the reasons cited are that Brady is "just not nice" and has been "mean to the family."

The alleged engagement would be the third marriage for the rocker, who recently told Oprah Winfrey on the OWN channel that he was "ashamed" of his womanizing past. Holding hands with Brady, Tyler appeared earnest about turning a new leaf and said it was possible for him to be monogamous.

"I don't want to hurt anybody again. For all the divorces I've had, I've hurt those girls deeply. There was some behavior that I'm ashamed of and I shouldn't have done," Tyler said.

Yeah right...love. Love of his money. There is no way that someone who is 38 is stumbling all over herself to marry someone like Steven Tyler unless it's about money...given he looks like someone great grandfather. Let's get real, if Steven Tyler was just Steven Tyler Fed-Ex driver or Steven Tyler UPS driver (no offense to any of the people who have these jobs) this skeezer wouldn't even give him the time of day. They've been dating for about 5 or 6 yrs. and she was even younger...must be nice to hang on the arm of a old rich dude and not have to to anything but shop, live in a fancy home, drive a fancy car and go on extravagant vacations. Don't get me wrong, there are some great looking handsome older men, however, Steven Tyler is not one of them. As I said before...yeah right...love.

He is so precious that he really believes a rocker who plays dozens of cities each year in one night or two night gigs, with screaming groupies at every stop, can remain monogamous­, when his track record says he won't. I mean it could happen but hightly unlikely and Ms Brady knows this but she will have another rock on her finger soon and with the pre-nup she will be fine so on with the wedding, his family be damned.
