WATCH: Gamer Girls Take A Stand!

First Posted: 12/28/11 01:21 PM ET Updated: 12/28/11 01:34 PM ET

Young gamer girls have come together in the above video to tell you that it's not okay to harass them for participating in the 'guys-only' culture of video games. They want to 'pwn' just like everyone else -- and they don't judge gamer dudes for being male!

Created by YouTube user SexyNerdGirlPresents, the page also includes the following message:

"Don't be racist. Don't be homophobic. Don't be sexist. Follow that code and everybody will have a good time. And when someone breaks that code, CALL THEM OUT. Don't just let it ride."

The video asks at the end: "What kind of gamer are you?"

Gamers: How would you answer that question? Non-gamers: Can this manifesto be applied to other interests in your life?

Oh and BTW, as a female gamer, this video embarrassed me.

God, I really just dont care. If a man gives me s#@t while we are playing I just ignore it. Men/boys always say stupid things about/to female gamers. They wont grow up, so why even bother? The small percentage that treat you like everybody else have my respect.

Didn't mean to fave. Meant to mark as "sexist."

The video talks about how they don't want attention brought to the fact that they happen to be female or be harassed while playing online but the account this video was posted on has the username "SexyNerdGirlPresents". Doesn't that go against their message just a tad?

Secondly, a lot of the issues that arise for female gamers are brought on by female "gamers". Most young, male gamers don't take female gamers seriously because of the ones that seem to only play games to show off that their a female and will "pwn teh boyz". There are more than enough youtube celebrities out there that do this and it's almost like a big bad joke written by sexist dudes.

Then you have groups like the Frag Dolls, which while I get the impression that some of them actually like games, it's still a marketing ploy by Ubisoft that comes off as a terrible representation of what a female gamer is expected to be.

If you really want people to stop being sexist, it's time to turn attention over to the female gamers that are attention whoring and companies looking to use you as some-type of marketing tool for horny teens. If all the impressionable youth see are these caricatures of real girl gamers, then all you're ever going to get is their ever going to do is hate.

Oh and you have to remember that most people on the internet are just complete dicks to everyone, girl or not.

Raise your impressionable youth to remember that women are just as good as men and then they won't be so surprised when we kick their butts at video games.
