Jasmin Rivera, Accused Boston Bank Robber, Gave Money To Kids: Police

Bank Robber

12/29/11 12:46 PM ET   AP

BOSTON -- Boston police say a woman suspected of robbing a city bank was caught a short time later handing out dollar bills to children at a park.

Police say workers at the Citizens Bank told them a woman walked into the branch just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, passed a teller a note demanding money and warned she had a gun. She then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A cab driver told police that a fare had told him that she just robbed a bank.

Police found the suspect, Jasmin Rivera, at the park handing out money.

Rivera was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation at her arraignment Thursday. A doctor told a judge she has serious mental health issues. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf.

"Nice" guy.

Yeah right. Glad he'll still be held accountable to God for theft and robbery.

How often I wished I coud do the same thing...not rob a bank..but go around handing out money.
My husband and I also want to have peoples teeth fixed. If I were a dentist I would do that
a lot of free dental work...yes indeed..we would..

you'd save a lot of lives if you had peoples teeth fixed. Wonderful thought

We have practiced that all our lives. The great thing in our life is seeing all the wonderful things which have been invented to use in our daily lives. When you see the things in an ICU..NICU or just plain hospital rooms..all that technology came straight out of the
space program. The Beatles were told they either pay I want to say taxes or support
the research on a Magnet machine..Beatles chose the research..MRI..now is a part of our dailey fight to save the sick.

The lesson learned from this story is not to tell the cabbie about the bank you just robbed....that, and don't make it rain with the money you just stole. Whatever happened to smart bank robbers, who keep quiet and go about their business after a heist?

Why did it take so long for her to get help? Maybe robbing that bank, was her final cry for help. As for giving the money to kids, her heart was in the right place, yet the money wasn't hers to give away.
I pray she gets the help needed, as well as other people seek help. There is NO SHAME IN ASKING FOR HELP, NOR ACCEPTING IT. Let's make this our 2012 Resolution, put pride aside and help someone just because they need it, or put pride aside and ask for help, there is no shame, no stigma in asking for help and in accepting help.
Happy Blessed New Years.
