Out with the old and in with the new doesn't just apply to the new year, but to Debra Messing's love life as well.
The 43-year-old actress announced on Dec. 20 that she and her husband Daniel Zelman had separated after 10 years of marriage. Messing is apparently not wasting any time getting back into the dating game: she's reportedly seeing actor Will Chase, her co-star on the upcoming NBC musical drama "Smash."
An insider tells Us Weekly that Messing and Chase have already been together for about six weeks. "She's completely smitten with him," said the source. "And while the relationship is still new, it's already serious."
The magazine reports that Chase recently left his wife of two years, actress Stephanie Gibson, but the source wanted to make it clear that the 41-year-old actor did not break up Messing's marriage to Zelman. Chase also has two young daughters from his first marriage, which ended in 2006.
There doesn't seem to be any bad blood between Messing and Zelman. The couple plan to continue living together in New York with their seven-year-old son Roman and have no immediate plans for either a divorce or a new living situation. In what might be the most mature breakup of all time, Messing's rep told the magazine, "They have been a couple for twenty years, and the nature of their relationship simply changed over time."
