Axelrods latest bit of campaign wisdom is the line that Obama didn`t try to scare the people enough about the economy. Funny, but My memory is of Obama scaring people with talk of a secomnd Great Depression if his stimulous bill wasn`t passed.

Isn`t Axelrod the guy who said at Obama`s hudred day mark that Obama had solved the country`s economic problems? Yeah.

When will we see more of Joe Biden? The summer of recovery skits were classic comedy. The angry first responder’s lectures were honest to God the funniest stuff I ever saw on TV. Love that guy.

It would make sense for this to be Axelfrod's last campaign. Most of the people have figured out his lies by now.
08:55 PM on 12/30/2011
He should have quit on a high note after Obama was elected in 2008. Now he will have to hang his head in shame after Obama is trounced in 2012.

What do obama and Forrest Gump have in common?
...nothing, Gump is smarter and he doesn't have axelrod around

Yeah Mr. President, but you can't argue the facts. I am not upholding the Bush years as an example of what to do, and I'd suggest you not CONTINUE to do the same. Even then, your numbers are bad. Compared to President Bush, President Obama’s annual budget deficit is 7.5 percentage points worse on average. Under Obama, average monthly unemployment is 4.1 percentage points higher than unemployment under President Bush. Average monthly housing starts are 66% lower under Obama. Average annual food stamp participation has increased 63% from 22.7 million to 37.0 million. In January 2001, when President Bush took office, the monthly participation rate was 17.2 million. By January 2011, food stamp participation reached a high of 44.2 million under President Obama. Yeah, why don't you "hope" a little bit more.

What you are pointing out is that the Clinton administration kept the economy in great shape, and that by the time Obama inherited a recession, after eight years of deficits being run up by Bush and the GOP, we were in deep trouble. Another great depression was avoided, and now ways have to be found to bring back healthy conditions. It is not playing to race card to point out that the Obama presidency has had to deal with huge amounts of hostility and obstruction based on the hardcore hate of many Tea Party types. Senate Minority Leader Mitchell was playing to this biased base directly, when he announced early on that dumping the incumbent president was the only priority that mattered. Working with the POTUS to devise solutions to problems such as unemployment was never attempted seriously.

... one last failure, capping an unbroken string since 11/08. What's the message this time, Ax? "Stay the course"? "Obama, because there are still too many civil liberties"?

The latest posting by the Treasury Department shows the national debt has now increased $4 trillion on President Obama's watch.
The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $15 trillion, heading to $16 trillion.

It's the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.

The national debt increased $4.9 trillion during the eight-year presidency of George W. Bush. The debt now is rising at a pace to surpass that amount during Mr. Obama's four-year term.

I will admit Bush had two bad wars, and run up a very large debt, that not an excuse for Obama to continue the same policies.

Obama put the wars on the books, something Bush purposely did not do.

There are five items the TEA Party group would like to see in government. Provide the constitutional basis for the bills it passes; reduce intrusive government regulations; balance the budget; limit the increase of government spending to the rate of population growth; and eliminate earmarks unless
approved by 2/3rds of Congress. Are these positions dangerous or extreme? Certainly not. In fact, polling shows that Americans support these Tea Party goals by a margin of two-to-one.
Citizens are angry about about the current direction of government. But does that anger automatically equate to violence? Of course not. But the OWS movement does...
06:19 PM on 12/30/2011
OWS started in NYC. There has never been any violence here. what are you talking about ?
and neither I nor anyone I know agree with anything the TP has to say or offer

You can call it 'hate', but to be honest it isn't any different than the "hate" that was shown to GWB.

Just citizens speaking with the freedom we all share, on all sides of thinking.

It is hate. Citizen speaking with the freedom we share.

I didn't hate Bush.

I didn't ask for his birth certificate. I didn't call for him to fail. I didn't make any posters of Hitler, Witch Doctor, or say crude and wicked stuff like, Bury Obamacare with the late sen Ted Kennedy. I didn't call Bush a terror appeaser as Cheney called pres Obama, 9 days after he was sworn in. I didn't make racists jokes about Bush.

Perhaps your definition of hate is something else.

Many haters hide behind hateful and bigoted verbiages.

As usual my reply to this post was deleted.

It is hate.

In 2.11 yrs, Laws are being changed for people to vote. ID never asked before. Crude, cruel joke, birtherism, wishing and calling for the president to fail, record filibusters, press devoting time for birtherism and hateful verbiages. Cheney saying on Jan 29 2009 that president Obama was aiding terrorists.

Not hate? I beg to differ.

It's not hard to despise the architect of demographic democracy and incrementalism. Death by a thousand cuts is still death. A third of the nation's families have slipped into poverty and Axelrod is fine-tuning policy to please the folks in two upscale neighborhoods in Ohio.

We need better, smarter, cooler people in this White House supporting the President. Meanwhile, Mrs. Obama's obvious brilliance is being wasted and she is all but hidden from view. Why?

I blame Axelrod for every major thing that is wrong with my administration and my shot at challenging the right-wing religious tea pigs.

The problem is the black guy who got the kids and blacks excited over nothing. He knows nothing he knows how to do nothing. Michele wasn't elected she can have her vegs garden.
