There's nothing better for a TV fan than their favorite couple finally sealing it with a kiss. When that tension that builds up for seasons explodes in a moment of passion, viewers can't help but smile and swoon.

This year had no shortage of long-awaited kisses: from Blaine and Kurt finally making it official -- and making Gleeks go "aww" -- on "Glee" to a water-soaked engagement lip lock for Michael Scott on "The Office" to Sookie and Eric's porch session on "True Blood" that needed to be hosed down.

Watch our mash-up of the 11 TV kisses we deemed the best of 2011!

Now, find out more about the couples who made those magic moments happen:

"Castle" fans loved that will-they-won't-they tension, but you can only tease so much before you need to throw them a bone. Castle and Beckett have been toeing that sexual tension line for four seasons now, but we're still reeling from their one and only kiss back in January's Season 3 episode, "Knockdown." Sure, it was a ruse to distract a guard during a covert case investigation, but it happened and there were definitely sparks. There's since been a not-forgotten "I love you" and common use of the less professional names "Kate" and "Rick" ... might they be in an actual romantic relationship in 2012?

I'm so glad "Klaine" from Glee made it on the Best Kiss list. That 1st kiss made me wish that I was Kurt being kissed by Blaine.

I thought Eric and Sookie fell flat with a big thud. When Sookie did it with Eric, it was more like mother Sookie doing it with her son. It was weird. I was looking forward to Eric and Sookie, but it ended up a dud.

Why does this article exist?

Okay, here's who I am: LGBTQIA-supporting, left-wing, educated, Christian, teenage PERSON. It doesn't matter what you are: gay, straight, pan, trans, cis, Christian, Muslim, liberal, conservative, American, British, South African, Chinese...
What matters is WHO you are inside. And the answer's pretty easy, we're all people, we're all the same in God's eyes.
It's funny because the bigoted comments could all use a little spellcheck and a couple more years in high school.
Also, stop reading Bible verses in immaculate detail and shoving it down everyone's throat, because guess what? The Bible was TRANSLATED. And anyone who is fluent in at least two languages can tell you language cannot be truly translated. The technicalities of the phrases are different.
E.g. The Ten Commandments, in English, are translated as "Thou shalt..."
In Chinese, it's in turn translated as "You must..."
However, in Hebrew, the word "shalt" had different connotations. Not only is it an imperative, it also implies the situation in a pefect future. Therefore, "thou shalt not kill" means both "don't kill people" and "in a perfect future (Heaven), people will not kill".
Read the Bible in its original Hebrew and then use the verses to back it up. Until then, God's been pretty clear about loving everyone and not judging them.

Computer courage. The haters are wussies, the kind of mean self hating homophobes who would mumble 50 rows back, but when given a typead suddenly think they're men. Wussies. As for the kisses themselves, tame and not worthy of posting.

Ok, this article is titled "The Best TV Kisses of 2011"
Why has this turned into such hate filled comments?
There where 11 kisses shown of which 2 where gay. So What.
There was nothing written in this about a gay agenda. So why all the hate towards gays?
We have been around since being of time and its not like we are going away.
Learn to love all people, you might agree with everyone and thats ago just please
STOP THE HATE.

I am sick of all the homophobes here who comment on every LGBT rights supporting message by:
"You must be gay too"
I am a straight girl, and I support LGBT right very hard. I don't see the difference between love between a man and a woman and two men.
It is love. It is beautiful, not sinful.
That does NOT make me gay, that just makes me a human being who wants to live in a world without pointless hate towards people who just want to be who they are.

AND, to make it clear: Being gay is not a "lifestyle" it is NOT a choice!
You didn't choose to be straight, you just are. That's the same for gay people.
Who would chóóse to be mocked every single day of their lives?
No one.

And to all the haters here: have you ever thought about how much pain and hurt you cause a person you don't even know every day by being so hateful?
Gays don't hurt you in any way, so why bother in their lives?

. I really think that they are trying to push this gay movement on everyone by force and that is wrong, most Americans disagree with the life style no matter what is being said. It's on everything you can't watch certain shows about remodeling they are there, real housewives of anything they are there interested in cooking they are there, the list goes on and on, they tried to push this down our throats in school to start teaching same sex parents, our parents were outraged lets just say that agenda shall never be on anything in our school system. Gay people do you, just stop trying to force us to except your life style. ( It ain't happening). Another thing if your so content and secure in what you are why is it so important that you flaunt it.
07:59 PM on 01/01/2012
When you kiss or hold hands with your loved one, do you feel you're "flaunting" it?
10:33 PM on 01/02/2012
Jersey Shore, Teens, and channels like Fox News making hateful comments on TV, and you complain about men kissing men and women kissing women.
1. How is it wrong for them to kiss? They're expressing love and affection for each other.
2. You notice how many heterosexual couples are on this list? They are expressing love for each other, and they have just as equal a right to do this as homosexuals. What's your problem with it?
3. You need to correct your grammar. It's accept, not except.

Perhaps if gays found something else to focus on rather than gay issues we all would be better off. There are hundreds of things out there far more important to the average person than gays and their issues. That may come as news to gays,YOUR sexual preferences are NOT something most people want to think about. Most are revolted by it actually.
01:40 PM on 01/01/2012
If that's not what you want to think about, maybe you should stop thinking about it.

I NEVER think about two men kissing, especially if it is close to mealtime.Thats why I dont want to see it on TV.
01:53 PM on 01/01/2012
And many of us gays are revolted about your straight sexual preferances, but dont go around bashing you.

I am not religous,I am not a 'hater",I wish no ill towards my fellow man.
But seeing this and after this week watching the movie "J.Edgar" I feel compelled to speak out.
There is a big difference between ignoring or accepting that some people are different and being OK with having to look at it.
I will never pay to see another Clint Eastwood film after seeing what happens when you let a gay screenwriter (Dustin Black) recreate historical "facts" and the director (Eastwood) going along. What a butcher job of an American icon.Talk about a gay mans fantasy. It was absurdly void of any real fact or proof.
For the first time in my life,I now feel that peoples fears of "the gay agenda" may be real.I never believed there was an agenda because I figured if your gay you are gay and if you are not,you are not.But now I see things a little differently. These people dominateing Hollywood IS starting to be a problem if they are going to use their position in the entertainment business to further their cause.
I dont think we need to feel compelled view gays as being just like everyone one else. They are NOT like everyone else. Some people are wired differently and gays are just that.
I dont want to see people who are wired to practice any other sexual preference have THEIR sexual preferences on exhibit.
