Justin Bieber & Carlos Santana, Lady Gaga, Cee Lo & More New Year's Eve 2012 Performances (VIDEO)

While you were pouring one out for 2011 and taking many in for 2012 with friends and family on Saturday night, New York City's Times Square and Hollywood were packed with star-studded performances.

From Justin Bieber's surprising "Let It Be" duet with Carlos Santana to Cee Lo's controversial "Imagine" performance to will.i.am (and his head on many iPads) virtually singing "T.H.E. (The Hardest Thing)," the evening was full of surprising songs and dances to ring in the New Year.

Plus, watch Lady Gaga and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg countdown to 2012 and pucker up to each other.

Shame on Bieber for his pathetic stupid performance. How dare he sing a Beatles tune badly... The kid has zero talent, they should have never let him do that... Bieber completely ruined this song with his lousy singing...

The sad thing is that this kid has no idea what the meaning of the song is, or who the Beatles were.. I don't think anyone liked or enjoyed him singing this song...

I saw only the after midnight show on rockin' eve and for the first time in years sort of enjoyed what I saw.,. People actually SANG SONGS instead of yelling into microphones. That was different. Until nikki manaj managed to ruin the whole thing. I think I got maybe 15 minutes of watchable teve.... then I went home. lol

The question was "who rocked the hardest?". The answer is ....me. I was at the Beacon Theater in NYC @ the Govt. Mule show where Warren and the boys rocked out Mule and some covers on the first set then when they reappeared for the second set they played the whole Joe Cocker "Madmen and Englishmen" album. Brilliant! Nicki Minaj, Gaga, Bieber, Celo give me a break these people are nothing but flavors of the month that people 5 years from now will be saying, " do you remember....", but bands like Mule, Tedeschi/Trucks or The Allmans live forever. Don't believe me, look at the Grammy noms. for best Traditional Blues albums this year. Warren Haynes Band / Greg Allman Band / Tedeschi - Trucks Band and if it was released in time Jaimoes Jazzass Band would have been nominated also.
