"You're not going to find the perfect candidate unless it's Jesus Christ," Jim Duggar said on Monday. With the Christian messiah sitting this one out, Duggar endorsed his second choice: Rick Santorum.

Duggar, the father of 19 and the star of the TLC show "19 & Counting," campaigned with 12 of his children for the former Pennsylvania senator on Monday, making multiple stops throughout Iowa in support of the Christian conservative Santorum.

"He's somebody that doesn't take a poll to know where he stands," Duggar told a crowd at a pizza joint north of Des Moines, the LA Times reports. "I'm asking families, Christians all over American to get behind Rick Santorum for the next president of the United States."

According to CNN, Duggar added that, "[Santorum] is somebody that goes and really just votes from his heart and votes on his convictions, votes on things based on the Constitution of the United States and the Bible. And that's the kind of man we want to support."

During his speech, the Arkansas resident told voters that he had been ignored by Mitt Romney four years ago when asking him a question about abortion coverage in Massachusetts.

According to ABC News, Michelle Duggar, the matriarch of the family, is recording robocalls for Santorum.

The Duggars have a history of political involvement. In 2007, they endorsed Mike Huckabee for president and in 2010 they accepted an award at the Values Voters Summit.

The issue is not Duggar, Santorum or anyone else in the media. Just take a look in the mirror. Do you know where you are going when you die? If you cannot answer this question with certainty, I would not be worrying about the Duggars. You've got bigger issues.

This smacks of absolute arrogance and shows how little either of these men know about Jesus or the Bible.
Either than how to distort it for their own purposes.

As much as I am appalled at how the Duggers treat women as nothing more than baby makers, I must say that they are one of the very few that obviously live their life by their belief against birth control and abortion.
Being pregnant for 20 years is a bit disturbing, but to each their own...I guess.
However, I will not and can not defend anyone who supports Santorum.

Why? You would rather vote for someone who believes in killing infants in the womb; wants to tell parents what they can put in their kids lunches, wants to force you to buy Chevy volts which are MORE harmful to the environment than their gas engine counter parts. Who claim to have the right to tell you what to believe - that you have to accept two men as "married" and two women as "in-love". You would rather deny that God exists but believe in global warming based on false information. You would also rather go from 9 trillion in debt to 16.1 trillion in four years and then put him back in office to do it again! You would rather be lied to a daily basis. I would say you are the sheep not the Dugger women. When I was growing up it was unusual for there to be less than 3 kids per family. If you change what is normal it does not make them "freaks". You may want to look in the mirror and decide who is really being abused by their Democrat "feel good, do has we want, follow blindly and question no one" Party.

Wow..because of a person's ability to procreate like a rabbit, he's given a reality show? That's a really SAD commentary on our society. I never even heard of them until Santorum got glitter bombed and one of these numerous Duggars got hit.

Wouldn't Jesus be too far to the left to be a viable candidate for the Republican Party? After all, he would forgive you your sins. Modern republicans never do that... he fed the masses from a loaf of bread, at no extra charge. He preached tolerance and caring and love, not death to people not like you, irradication of Israels enemies or "the L word". Jesus would have for gave Clinton and recently forgave Gingrich (apparently in writing and after a substantial phone campaign). Just because he talks to several of the Republican candidates one on one doesn't mean he would not run as an independent, you know.

Jesus Christ would be the only perfect candidate? Wouldn't he be a Liberal telling people to HELP the poor instead of Hating them? Could these phony Republican Christians be any bigger HYPOCRITES?
