Charles Barkley, Jon Stewart Talk NBA Hall Of Famer's Weight Loss On 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

Whenever you put Charles Barkley in front of TV camera, something funny is bound to happen and such was indeed the case when the "Inside The NBA" analyst appeared on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" last night.

Barkley, who is set to host Saturday Night Live this week, sat down with Stewart to discuss a variety of topics, including his recent weight loss, as well as his working relationship with Shaquille O'Neal.

"I have two wardrobes: A skinny wardrobe and a fat wardrobe" Barkley told Stewart when asked about the suit he was wearing. "The is part of my skinny wardrobe, but see I'm going to lose some more weight, so I got to get another wardrobe made."

Barkley's insistence that he's going to continue to shed pounds is understandable as he recently appeared in a commercial for Weight Watchers that has been making the rounds on television.

Stewart also asked Barkley about his much publicized fight in 1999 with his new "Inside The NBA" colleague, Shaquille O'Neal. The two have hammed it up on air since O'Neal joined the show and Barkley maintained their past scuffle had no effect on their current relationship. "I'm a firm believe that once the game is over, it's squashed."

Barkley later told Stewart that he felt the two best teams in the NBA right now were Miami and Chicago. When asked about Stewart's favorite team, the Knicks, Barkley said, "I really think it's something in the water in New York because the people [here] have such an inflated ego when it comes to their team," the straight shooting Barkley said, much to the dismay of the New York-based audience. "I got love for you, and the Knicks are alright, but they aren't going to win anything."

I remember when Sir Charles was playing in college. My favorite nickname for him that was occasionally heard on the airwaves back then was "bread truck." I still laugh at it. Anyway, Barkley is the closest thing we in American have to a Chris Hitchens. Keep going Charles and keep up the smack-downs of any athlete that thrusts his/her beliefs on us through the national exposure they are given.

I hope one of the main players for the Heat either gets injured,or all of them play like LeFrozenone,in the 4th quarter of most playoff games and cant hit the broad side of a barn standing right in front of it.Cleveland has to get a chanpionship before the Heat.

Barkley couldn't keep it any other way. He's just another inarticulate sports figure that has been raised to celebrity status by his goofus comments.
