Jimmy Kimmel Cuts Off Audience Member's Ponytail Because It Matched Arson Suspect's Description (VIDEO)

WATCH: Why Did Jimmy Kimmel Chop Off This Guy's Ponytail?

It looks like the Los Angeles arson suspect may have a victim after all: the ponytail of a hapless Jimmy Kimmel audience member.

During his monologue on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, Jimmy discussed the LAPD's description of the arsonist and said, "police should always be looking for a caucasian man with a ponytail." He also joked, "all men with ponytails should be rounded up and put in prison."

But to show that he was being serious, Jimmy scanned his audience for an offending male ponytail. The camera zoomed in on a man attending the show with his girlfriend, and through the power of peer pressure and bright lights, Jimmy convinced him to let castmember Guillermo cut off the braided ponytail.

Once Jimmy had the ponytail in his hand, it became obvious that the hair was thick, shiny and beautiful -- perfect for a donation to Locks of Love, observed another audience member. Hopefully the ponytail makes its way to the hair donation non-profit and lives another life as a hairpiece for a child suffering long-term medical hair loss.

To the audience member who may be mourning his hair loss: the ponytail has gone to a better place.
