Justin Bieber Tells Elementary School Kids: 'Selena And I Kiss On The Weekends'

First Posted: 01/04/12 04:20 PM ET Updated: 01/04/12 07:35 PM ET

Justin Bieber is never more endearing than when he's in the company of children.

It's easy to see why the 17-year-old popstar was named one of Do Something's most charitable celebrities of 2011. Last month, Bieber visited the underprivileged kids at Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas, where he donated $100,000, gave every child a toy and performed a private concert in the school's gym -- and the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" got it all on tape.

We've all seen Bieber perform, but it was the Q&A session he did with his young fans that's truly heartwarming. Children know how to ask the questions that count, and we're glad one of them wanted to know what Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez do on the weekends.

"We go to the movies...," he began before turning to a whisper, "... and we kiss."

The students of Whitney Elementary shrieked and giggled at his answer, as they did when he told them his favorite color was purple.

Whether you're a fan of Bieber's or not, it's undeniable how much joy he brought to these children. And before he left, Bieber had some wise parting words for the crowded room:

"It was a pleasure coming to your school and be nice to each other, treat others with respect and grow up to be people of character," he said.

December was a busy month for Bieber. In addition to his visit to the school, the singer returned home to Canada where spent time meeting fans and handing out canned goods at The Daily Bread Food Bank and presented the local Children's Wish Foundation with a check for $500,000.

Man, he really seems like a nice kid. He must have a lot of self confidence to let the jibes roll off his back like water. I hope he always remains this nice.

It's amazing how some people like to put others down with criticism, this young man has come from nonthing to something. Regardless, if you like him or not.. He's a humble young man who has done something great...Much to say, what have you done lately to help someone??

I think its great that Justin humbles himself to visit children and donate money to what he think is a worthy cause. He came along way to get to this point and he's very appreciative to his fans. He's a great young man....and for those that think he's "Gay" so freaking what!!!... get a life... obvisiously, you have some issues yourself since you have a great concern of his lifestyle and the ridicious complaint of him wearing purple...'''WHO CARES" Once again, a great case of judging others when they don't bother to judge themselves... So much hate... They sell the Haterade at Wal-Mart...$2.99 buy a bottle or a case...

KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO JUSTIN.... GOD BLESS YOU FOR SHARING YOUR FORTUNE....He was blessed to get his family out of hardship... just be happy for the young guy.....Many Blessing to your success Justin....Keep your hater blockers on.....

Please people Justin visiting the kids does nothing for the kids. Its not like they are deprived kids. The kids would not know if he was there or not. Justin would not be in the press anymore if he didn't do this stuff to stay in the press. Too funny you all think it does the kids good. Sad Justin has a new C.D. coming out and he needs to stay in the news until then, His investors are even concerned it might not sell. Justin uses charities to self promote give me a break. Here kid here is 50,000 for 400 thousand in free advertising lol.

Ummm..... He gave 100,000 to the school. By the looks and shouts of the kids in the vids... They appeared to be very pleased he visited. Perhaps they were told to cheer.

I have the same problem with my two boys. We'll be walking into a family gathering and I'm constantly saying "Pull your pants up!". It's not even flattering! Looks like when they were in diapers and needed changing 'cause they were full!

This kid and his Mom were dirt poor..and now look a him. Good for them. Don't fault him for ''going Hollywood''. He is just trying to make money. Somebody out there tell me wat ''bad'' he has done? That will be a short list. Sure..he wears make-up, dresses flashy, and states he likes purple. Purple is Clint Eastwood's favorite color also. Yeah, yeah, yeah..I have heard ''all' the ''purple'' crud while my boys grew up that gays have put out there about ''purple''. It is just one of the many ways that gays are out there trying to ruin things for otheres. Shame on any of you that let ''that'' happen. Heck...there was the purple Barney, Power Ranger, etc, etc. I am masculine enough to like purple ''if I want to'' and man enough to say so. There is no solid reason to say Beiber is gay. I am retired Army, I like purple, and I don't think he is gay. In fact, he seems like a fine young man. He may dress funny, but so what. That does not mean a thing. ''I'' would wear his clothes if it made me the kind of cash he makes.

In all my years, I never heard "the gays" say anything about "purple". This is my first and you are saying it. Are you, then, gay? You seem to have a real problem with "the gays". And "methinks the lady doth protest too much."

shutup! he obviously didnt mean anything by it. its "people like you" who like to turn positive things into negative
11:37 AM on 01/05/2012
Do you people not get it Justin keeps doing all this "charity" stuff to keep himself in the news, he is very self serving. Don't you see that if he didn't do that he would be history. I hate people that use "charity" to promote them self's but I hate people that buy this stuff even worse.

Its all free publicity for Justin.

Well, since he cannot thing or perform, I guess he needs to keep n touch with the crowd.

I wonder at which age hr's planning on comming out....
12:00 PM on 01/05/2012
Honestly, does it really matter if it was for publicity or not? He did help this school and these children.. Who would do it if him and Ellen didnt help? Mostly not any of us!! So, stop complaining, either way these kids are getting the help they need!! Cause if we need to complain that he is doing it for publicity, then you need to call out other celebrities that do the same, like Angelina Jolie, she makes it public, but look how many kids she is helping in the process.. If these celebrities didnt do it, alot of kids would be dying,, cause regular people are selfish sometimes and would rahter spend money on unnecessary stuff than donaty to any kind of charity!

A friend of mine has a six year old daughter (probably much younger than these kids...I hope.) Anyway, one day we are at an FYE in Orlando and her daughter spies a poster of Justin Bieber. Loudly, and in front of everyone, my friend's daughter says, "That's the grossest looking girl I've ever seen." True story. Sad, but true. Gone are the days of the "hunky" heartthrobs...our younger generation of females is now attaching itself to guys who probably use the same eye-liner, lip gloss and hairspray as they do. Nice.

It's nice to see a teen with his wealth and fame be so humble and compassionate. Although I don't particularly enjoy his music (being bombarded with it for a year from a teenage daughter), I am impressed with his sense of charity. He was wonderful with those kids.
01:12 PM on 01/05/2012
I agree and I am not a fan of his music either but since kids look up to celebrities, he seems like a good role model for them to follow.

what a sweet boy........how cute was he talking to those little kids.....and the headline that HP posted again was sensational and not worth merit.....
09:54 AM on 01/05/2012
Apparently he has little to no sense of decorum, talking about his 'love life' to elementary school children. Great role model...........
10:21 AM on 01/05/2012
oh please!! You can tell he was just playing around those kids.. Its not like these kids probably havent seen their parents kiss before.. You can see once he said it, he was going along with the kids and said "eeww, and made a face, no, we dont do that". How is that being a bad role model? Having fun with the kids, call the police(sarcasm)..You just need to find any little excuse to hate the boy.. Seems to be your own proble, don't you think?
10:46 AM on 01/05/2012
I never said hate. Seems you may have a "proble".

A heterosexual couple goes to a movie and kiss crosses the line of decorum''?? Have never read any children's book where the Princess gets a kiss? You are right that a ''decorum'' exists...and that would be to not get graphic. For example...he did not say he and Selena bought a six-pack, and went to a hotel room where she slipped into some sexy undies, and then they ordered the porn channel and ''got busy''. Still very fun sounding, definitly outside the decorum line. He did not do that. It was perfectly innocent. Many kids are exposed to sexuality that is inappropriate through TV, Video games..and likely even porn due to careless parents. It's great that kids get exposed to something ''normal and healthy'' like a young couple sharing a kiss. Kids now-days grow up confused and not knowing which hole to stick what into. It is healthy to learn where to start..a cute littel kiss for your girlfriend. Do you realize many kids never see Mom and Dad kiss..but just argue? Unerprivaledged kids often come from sad home situations. Sharing a kiss with who you love is a good lesson for children to learn.

This freak is sounding more and more like Michael every day, as he looks more female than male, and now he wants to be around little children. Parents beware, this misfit is not what he appears to be. If I had a child in school and found out that my child was exposed to the likes of somebody like this, not only would I pull my child out of that school but I would sue the school for endangering a minor.
