As a man, I am always encouraged by any indication that some women acknowledge that they share equal responsibilty for initiating and maintaining romance in a relationship.

Wouldn't find that in my bedroom. I make all the moves, I make all the arrangements, I make the offer. She says no. Where's the remote?

Women have become comfortable with being the critic in the front row, holding a note pad and wearing a frown. That has to stop---now. Their "performance" should be subject to criticism as well.

"Instead of making plans night after night, plan to stay home and just be together."

Do you have any suggestions for couples who are older than the 26 year olds with no children this sage bit of wisdom was pointed at?

As the kids get older, it actually becomes more difficult to find the time to just be alone. Teenagers running in and out of the house constantly, for example. And when the teenagers/young adults are home it is way to uncomfortable because you just know they can hear you.

Who has energy for plans night after night? As the old song goes, it was beer, the old lady, and TV. But with the economy being what it is, there is no beer, and TV is more entertaining than I am as I get older.

But if you really want to know what to do, the only suggestion offered that makes sense is the one about going to a hotel - if you can afford that. Rates are pretty good right now, but many of us can't even afford these.
