Very good comments overall, pros and cons, on select cities and towns..I lived in Chicago for over fifty years and still love the city like a Parisian loves Paris. Recently finished a major in Chicago, and couldn't get over how much traffic congestion there is, along with parking hassle everywhere. Not to mention harsh winters, gang violence, cost of living, property taxes, as negatives. I currently live in Salt Lake City. Mid-sized green city, clean, hassle-free, strong economy, wonderful natural resources, inexpensive living costs, mountains, cool cafes and restaurants, and a downtown center that is taking off as a result of capital improvements. I also think the people are just nice. I got tired of the constant politics in Chicago, and how the state is in fiscal crisis. Salt Lake was prominently mentioned in Forbes magazine as the top city for business and it's economic vitality. Well-deserved. I'm here to stay- SLC is home.

No city for the last 3 decades has gotten praise like drab, dull, sunless Seattle whose only added large traffic jams to its Utopia since then. Dirty Boston is its eastern counterpart. San Jose! Bumper to bumper rush hour traffic that's still around at 7pm. Burlington's ok if you go to bed at 8. Austin is clearly the best of the bunch (clean, energetic, lively ) but July averages a 100 for the month.

Yes...Seattle is so drab, dull and sunless. We get rain 364 days a year..that's ONE day of sunshine a year, people. You would hate it here. It's awful..whatever you do, do NOT think about moving here.

no matter what, i'm still with the concept of making earth a better place, like building better cities, helping poor countries without any secret payback, & just saying words but true : all these years, i'm the one that make it all happened with others creating the better countries, doesn't matter what is the matter & believe me, so so lucky to be winning big & survive all this secret wars!, beat you bad one, &, gods with others, done!.

None of these cities would make the list for gay men except, Austin (maybe). Do a list for gay men & see what cities you get. LOL

So Burlington Vermont(achoo) is the healthiest cities for men? Yeah, they have the coat factory thereor is it the code(achoo) factory. When its freezing, I would like to know the way to san Jose or El Paso. Now let me chill.achoo, hoo!
10:55 AM on 01/06/2012
I was walking down the street one day in Burlington and a couple in a car asked directions to the Burlington Coat factory. My wife and I nearly fell over laughing. There is no Burlington Coat Factory nor is there even a Burlington Coat Factory Store in Burlington. It's like going to Quaker Oats and asking to talk to a Quaker!

MH statistics are way skewed. This one? Well they figure that a more northern city with a winter is the most healthy and its based on health statistics, crime, etc. Lemme think now....umm older people who have health problems move from winter cities, there is very little indusry or pollution in Vermont, illegal aliens who flood hospitals for health care, along with welfare and homeless people. Boom, there you are. Burlington VT has very little of all of that....and the FBI stats? Well there are fewer minorities and illegal aliens there to commit crimes (oh I know you are not allowed to say that but lets pretend we live in the real world for this story). Murder rates are very low in northern, smaller towns. This is not rocket science but MH cannot mention all of those variables for fear of being called Republicans.

Are you people nuts? Every one of these places in WAY north of Florida, where I live, or in Texas of which I would rather die than move to. The NC site may be nice in the summer but winter, forget it! I'll stay in FLA.
