Clemson Routed By West Virginia In Orange Bowl: Twitter Reactions To BCS Humiliation

Twitter Reactions To BCS Humiliation Of Clemson

Plain and simple, the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl was a very public humiliation. Let's see..

West Virginia scored five touchdowns against Clemson in the second quarter alone, three of which came in the final three minutes before the intermission. The Mountaineers scored 49 total points in the first half. WVU quarterback Geno Smith tied a record for any bowl game with six touchdown passes. He also broke Tom Brady's Orange Bowl record with 401 yards passing. Wide receiver Tavon Austin had four touchdown receptions, tying a record for any bowl game. And finally, WVU broke the record for total points in a bowl game, which was set six days ago when Baylor beat Washington 67-56 in the Alamo Bowl.

Again, this game was, for Clemson, a public undressing.

So, what were the reactions? ACC bloggers were embarrassed. Some couldn't believe WVU actually managed 70 points. While others were upset the Mountaineers for not pushing for 100 points! Scroll down to check out some of the Twitter reactions to the 2012 Orange Bowl.
