Darren Criss Previews 'Glee' Michael Jackson Episode (VIDEO)
"Glee" star Darren Criss is psyched for the musical comedy's Michael Jackson tribute episode, even if his skills as a moon-walker leave something to be desired. Criss, who just began a run on Broadway in "How To Succeed In Bussiness Without Really Trying," stopped by "Live! With Kelly" (weekdays on ABC) where he previewed his role in the highly-anticipated episode.
Criss confirmed that his character Blaine will be singing "Wanna Be Starting Something," and gave Kelly Ripa and guest-host Rob Lowe a mini-preview of the song. He went on to explain that he's such a huge fan of Jackson's music that he found it "kind of intimidating" to perform.
Much to Ripa's chagrin, Criss revealed that Blaine won't be moon-walking in the episode. He joked that his dancing skills would turn the classic move into "more of a Mars Trip," and offered a creative solution to make his moves look smoother. "I'll walk on a conveyor belt, and it'll look like I'm doing something."
"Glee" returns on Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. The Michael Jackson tribute episode is scheduled for Jan. 24.
