Dirk Nowitzki Reads Britney Spears: Dallas Maverick Interprets 'Oops! ...I Did It Again' In Dramatic Reading (VIDEO)

Dirk Nowitzki is not that innocent.

The beloved seven-foot German, who plays power forward for the Dallas Mavericks, left the locker room for the den and regaled us with a dramatic reading from his favorite poem, "Oops! ...I Did It Again" by noted American writer Britney Spears.

Dirk is known for his genial attitude and kindness towards fans, and could easily coast right now after helping his team win its first ever NBA Championship title in 2011. But since he's such a swell guy, he put his thick accent to its best use ever by reading the chorus from Spears' 2000 hit single in this video officially released by the Mavericks organization.

Why? Who cares? What should Dirk perform next as a Dramatic Reading? Vote in our poll below.

This was OK, but just another Letterman ripoff. Recommend that you search;
"Pat and Kenny read Oprah transcripts".

This had the potential to be really funny. I was laughing when I read the article. But when I clicked "play", it turned out to be really dumb.

I was disappointed too. He read it too fast. Lucky he's good at basketball.

the way he kept looking down didn't help either. I mean, he couldn't have memorized that... or at least used a prompter? fell short of its potential but it's cool that he'd do it at all.
