Katy Perry Divorce: 'NO ONE Speaks For Me'

News of Katy Perry and Russell Brand's split sent the Twitterati buzzing about what could have possibly driven the power couple to an end, but at least one person is speaking out about it: Perry herself.
The pop star broke her silence about her divorce from the British comedian on Saturday evening with two tweets. In one, Perry thanked fans for support while alluding to her divorce with references of the heart. In another, she slammed the media for running unsubstantiated gossip.
"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again ... Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, "close sources" or my family."
Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, married in October 2010 in a lavish ceremony in India; on December 30, 2011, Brand filed for divorce.
