Some drunken roughhousing turned deadly in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Friday night.
22-year-old Marcquel McDuffy and his friend Keylester Williams were spending the evening watching TV, joking around and drinking at an apartment in the Farragut Houses when they started to wrestle, sources tell The New York Daily News. At some point in the friendly dustup Williams allegedly took out a knife and stabbed McDuffy in the neck and head.
McDuffy then stumbled out of the apartment to the stairwell before collapsing in a pool of his own blood. He was taken to nearby Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Williams (who apparently works at a Duane Reade) fled the scene of the crime and is still at large. Anyone with any information regarding the murder, or Williams' whereabouts is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
It remains unclear what caused the hangout to turn violent and according to McDuffy's younger brother, Keon White, McDuffy and Williams were "like best friends."
And according to McDuffy's older brother Kenneth, McDuffy and Williams had "no beef before then."
"He had so much potential," Kenneth told The New York Daily News about his brother. "I will miss him. I love him."
