Mulberry Spring 2012 Ads With Lindsey Wixson Are Like A Grown-Up Candyland (PHOTOS)

We suddenly have a very fervent craving for candy.

These new ads for Mulberry's spring line, shot by Tim Walker at Brighton Beach, are making us crave candy AND warm weather. The models, Lindsey Wixson and Frida Gustavsson, pose with awesome melted ice cream cones and giant peppermint sticks.

And the clothes: So much green! And yellow! Is it spring yet?

This is the second Mulberry campaign for Lindsey, 17, who was discovered in a Walmart; her previous shoot was for the spring 2011 campaign, for which she donned a wild red triangular wig.

Check out the ads below and hey, if you want to bring us some ice cream, let us know.

The shoes were the coolest part of all the outfits.

The designers of those shoes should be made to wear and walk in them and visit the offices of surgeons who have to pull the nerves of thousands of women who have worn them and now suffer with Morton's Neuroma, a debilitating and painful condition, caused by too high and too tight shoes; the pain of which can only be alleviated by pulling out the nerve.

As one of those surgeons told me, a continuous stream of thousands of women and many ice-hockey players (tight ice skates) make their way to his office and surgery.

One could understand it more if the shoes were attractive or flattering on women. Instead, the huge and bulky designs do nothing but throw the symmetry and balance of a woman's overall look out of wack. Even tall women, who ironically look far better in high heels than short women do, look ridiculous in these disproportionate shoes, accidents waiting to happen: if not badly damaged nerves, then twisted ankles and broken bones.
