NeNe Finds Out About Marlo's Past On 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (VIDEO)

NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton met for drinks and a girls' talk about Charles on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" (Sun., 9 p.m. EST on Bravo).

Marlo's dating Charles but has heard rumors about him and NeNe, and wanted to know if NeNe was seeing her man. Usually this is the time in "Real Housewives" when someone loses it, starts cursing wildly, flips a table, and/or pulls someone's hair.

However, this turned out to be an unusually calm and convivial conversation, during which NeNe claimed that yes, Charles had called and asked her out, but nothing happened.

As the "Housewives" chatted, Marlo decided to open up and reveal some of her past history. An incredulous NeNe practically had to lift her jaw off of the ground as Marlo said first that she'd been arrested seven times, then admitted to having spent six months in the county jail.

Why? "Ten years ago, I got into an altercation with a young lady, um, in a club." Right around now NeNe must have been thanking her lucky stars that she hadn't escalated the chat about Charles into a full-blown "Housewives" fight.

Just having money to spend does not make one a socialite. A real socialite wouldn't be caught dead on one of these trashy programs. One does not become a socialite overnight. The Vanderbilts are the 7th richest family in history. Even though the Commodore made his money early in the 1800's, it wasn't until the turn of the century that the Vanderbilts were welcomed into New York society when one of the daughters was married off to the Duke of Marlborough. They were considered noveau riche and not socially acceptable.

True socialites prefer to stay out of the public eye. Black high society is no different from white and rests on the same criteria of who your daddy was. None of these Housewives would be welcome. A member of black high society on Martha's Vineyard actually referred to Michelle Obama as a "ghetto girl". If Michelle Obama's considered a "ghetto girl", these Atlanta Housewives have no more social standing than a cockroach crawling out of a dumpster. They're just mongrels pretending to have a pedigree,

Socialite ..this is the same term used to describe Babe Paley and Gloria Guinness..both of which I am sure you have never heard of ...who ever wrote that head line should be canned immediately for being terminally stupid ..the women in this article are a mop and a pale away from being bathroom attendants

I'm sorry, but on what planet does someone with her background get called a "socialite". Either the criteria in Atlanta is extremely low, or someone at HP needs to get the dicitonary out and look for a definition of what a socliate really is. My family is four generations deep in the social register in CHI and Los Angeles, and no one in my family would ever call themselves that. HP needs to really start reading their own headlines for accuracy.

I am AMAZED that this woman is being billed as some sort of "socialite". From the way it all looks, she has been a high priced prostitute who dates men for money.She couldn't even explain how she made the money she is now using to claim "socialite" status. Not to mention that she is pretty annoying and not very interesting! Is THAT the new definition of socialite? WOW!

NeNe thinks that she is the star of this show.. it certainly is the trashiest of the series of RH only slighty below RH OF NJ.They all flaunt what they have and certainly are real back stabbing drama queens..Each trying to outdo the other. We have really hit rock bottom for entertainment.
