Zoraida Sambolin's Home For Sale After Chicago Anchor Lands New York Gig (PHOTOS)

Chicago's morning news anchor at NBC 5 is moving to New York for a new gig with CNN, vacating her historically significant Oak Park, Ill. home, which went on the market this week.

WMAQ announced Zoraida Sambolin's departure in the fall. The former anchor, who started her career in Chicago and joined NBC 5 in 2002, will launch a CNN morning newscast this year.

The six-bedroom, four-bathroom home she's leaving behind is known as the Erwin house, and was designed by Prairie style Chicago architect George W. Maher. Highlights include a three-tiered staircase, stained glass windows and a wraparound porch overlooking a heated pool.

Desk Anchor starts at 150k in big cities to 400k Prime news anchors like Bill Curtis and Walter Jacobson make around million a year give or take a few hundred. The irony is sometimes they do a rich people segment and say snarky comments like "oh wow i wish i could afford that" when they actually can really bites.
