While we eagerly await the start of Fashion Week in February, we can't help but reflect on the wild party that was last season.
Soirees like the all-night karaoke session led by Carine Roitfeld and Alexander Wang's frat party were both littered with celebrities and fashionistas. While both events were a blast, there's one much more intimate gathering we hope becomes a Fashion Week tradition -- the party hosted by bloggers Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style and Tavi Gevinson of Rookie.
This recently released video details the party and its decidedly stylish, senior guests. Women like Iris Apfel were on hand to offer Ari their own personal style advice. Our favorite anecdote from one party-goer was: "Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative! Just enjoy yourself and go for it, whatever it is."
The video ends with a performance by 90-year-old Ilona Smithkin (who has a very sweet interaction with Tavi at the 0:20 mark) singing "Que Sera, Sera" along with the crowd.
It's inspirational to see these older women staying true to their personal style. We can only hope we're as wise and well-dressed at that age!
