Bristol Palin Leaves Hollywood, Returns To Alaska
This time last year, Bristol Palin was coming off a successful run on "Dancing With The Stars" and had just purchased a home down in Arizona. A Hollywood career, it seemed, was in the offing.
Now, she's back in Alaska, having traded the spotlight for Sarah.
Palin told In Touch Weekly that she was done with the Hollywood life, fed up with the heckling and attention that she received on a constant basis. The turning point, she said, came when she was harassed at the Saddle Ranch while riding a mechanical bull in September.
"I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing,” she told the magazine. "After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home."
It was certainly an interesting, high profile run for her in show business. She became a frequent target of comedienne Kathy Griffin, against whom she finally lashed out in February. She filmed a reality show with "DWTS" cast mate Kyle Massey and his brother, but the Bio channel scrapped that in November.
Various reporters claimed that she was going to attend college in Arizona and perhaps pursue a career in Hollywood makeup and styling.
