Kalachakra 2012 Festival With The Dalai Lama (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 01/10/2012 10:55 am Updated: 01/10/2012 12:31 pm

Kalachakra 2012, a festival of teachings and meditations is taking place from January 1, 2012 for ten days in the northern Indian state of Bihar and will be attended by Tibetan Spiritual Leader The Dalai Lama. Kakachakra is an ancient ritual that involves a series of prayers, meditations, dances, chants, vows and a construction of a large sand mandala -- all with the aim to bring world peace. The previous Kalachakra for World Peace was held in Washington, DC in 2011.

Yes to World Peace! It is time to come together in the unity of Spirit in the bond of peace. Human life is precious and sacred; let us use our lives for the highest good of all. Let us recognize our similarities in the midst of differences. Let us recognize the One in the many; and the many within the One. www.newheavenonearth.wordpress.com

Jesus would have taken CIA money to fund guerrillas?

Well, but the Dalai Lama and Jesus claim to be supernatural beings incarnate...

There are many many wonderful schools of Buddhism not just Tibetin. As long one is looking internally for peace on not to an outside savior you are on the right path. Praises to the Lotus Sutra, the King of all Sutras!

My reply!
Satan is scripture is referred to as “an angel of light.” A light basically that is a “snap shot of a very dim light.” A dim light to many that exist only to suffocate the True Light of God the Father. And Buddhism is no different!

And please note, there are only two gods (camps/worship) in this universe – Jehovah’s (aka Yahweh) and the other camp is Satan’s. And all the dim lights that tickle man’s ears: Buddhism, Agnostics, and Atheist, just to mention a few for there are many- suffocating the true light of God the Father, and the acknowledgement of the Christ, Mankind’s Savior -- are a part, and body, of the other god (i.e., God the Father's enemy).

Light bringer... sort of ironic that being able to see things clearly is such an adverse notion to the Christian faithful. also ironic that Jesus is depicted as a shepherd, since Christian dogma has clearly pulled the wool over your eyes. I pray that someday you too will see the light.

anubiss2112, I am an atheist.... I only pray that I'm wrong.

I am humored by that statement, also pierced by the truth of it to me.
I believe there is a natural fear of ending and the unknown within us all. I was raised a catholic and taught to be nothing much, in the eyes of god. I was taught eternal damnation awaits me if I do not obey him. { ironically gods dictates seem to mirror whatever preacher is your teacher, (chagrin) }.
Struggle is part of every step up on the path to a wider horizon. Depending of course on how deep the hole of ones birth environment was dug by ones innocence of birth. As stated, mine was the catholic faith, the catholic "spaghetti monster" I have vestiges of this hole within me, (after all it 'is me'), but i am not powerless to choose, I am now eye level with life, and an equal participant with all existing beings to experience and grow in response, to the me that has the value of seeing and being. Peace anubiss, We all share the End Equally, We all can effort to equally share the ride to it.
Ps. I only pray that I'm wrong,... gives me some difficulty too. I'm not sure eternal bliss and light, and neverending oneness is all that. I bet it would get boring after the 1st billion years :o)

A path and a savior are not the same thing.

Buddhists avoid sectarianim and celebrate diversity because they recognise that different schools are appropriate to different people.

The Dharma Jewel is sometimes visualised as a Metaphysical Crystal with 84,000 different facets, representing all the teachings of the Buddha. Depending on our viewpoint, one or a few of these facets will reflect brightly in our direction.

When we first meet the Dharma, we are attracted to the most brilliantly reflecting facets - those aspects of the teachings that are particularly relevant to us and our problems. Most of the other facets will appear dull or oblique, or not appear to us at all, being completely hidden round the other side of the Crystal.

But other people may be attracted to those facets of the Jewel that appear bright to them but dull or hidden to us. http://seanrobsville.blogspot.com/2009/11/doctor-buddha.html

"Buddhists avoid sectarianim"

Not entirely true. For example, I've heard about Mahayana teachers who, when visiting predominantly Hinayana countries, have had their talks disrupted by Hinayana followers who say they aren't teaching true Buddhism.

In the past there have been far more egregious example, such has Japanese Buddhist attempts to destroy Korean Buddhism during the occupation.

It's something the Dalai Lama admitted to years ago. He took money from the CIA in the 50s and 60s. Some of it went to fund guerrillas fighting the Chinese.

It's no secret. Its right there in his Wikipedia bio with sources.

peace or as the good indian in the hollywood movie says Ugh [ ak ]

peace is the eternal reality ! where ? in the unified field [ unified field of physics, unified field of mathematics unified ffield of chemistry unified field ofphysiology ]

unified field of natural law existing at Planck scale 10 ^ -33 cm and 10^-44 seconds...that's teensy weensy says John Hagelin

also he says uncertanty principle means energy is more at smaller DISTANCE SCALES AT PLANCK SCALE ENERGY IS ENORMOUS
so peace is enormously dynamic

but where is it in reality ?

what can bring this deep deep inne rpeace field to the level of ordinary brain the synapses and neurotransmitters and whatever the heart is as emotional intelligence?

learn Transcendental meditation (TM)) everything else has existed for 2500 years and hasnt solved th eproblem

in the unified field is ATMA the breath of heaven the light of God
