Queen Latifah Steps Out In Style For 'Joyful Noise' Premiere (PHOTOS)

Queen Latifah feted the Hollywood premiere of her new movie "Joyful Noise" in style last night.

The rapper-turned-starlet looked fabulous in a teal David Meister dress. Do we spy thigh? Yes! The body-hugging silhouette and thigh-high split is a surprising choice for Latifah, who usually sticks to flowing gowns and pant suits.

The ruching across the mid-section could have been more flattering, but overall we love the look and give her credit for taking a fashion risk.

Co-stars Dolly Parton and Keke Palmer also looked great. Palmer wore a polka mini dress paired with nude-colored heels. And Parton never misses a moment to show off her most famous assets. The country singer (and her enormous bosom) donned a white sequin dress with a plunging neckline.

Black Voices "Power List" honoree Paula Patton, Vivica A. Fox and Loretta Devine were also on hand to celebrate the film.

Here's a look at the star-studded red carpet for the movie which hits movie theaters on January 13.

...and for the people who are upset with Queen's 'size', it's time for you to graduate from junior high. Everyone isn't, and shouldn't be, the same size. And don't bother throwing the health theme at me, we are all gonna go in to that long dark at some time, and your size ain't gonna save you when all systems fail to boot up.

Queen Latifah is a beautiful lady, but that dress while lovely from the waist up, is all wrong from the waist down. The clingy material and the scrunching side split, enhances her tummy bulge and her hips in an unflattering way.

Queen Latifah used to be able to give Dolly Parton a run for her money before she reduction surgery.

Those shoes are not "nude" when a black woman is wearing them.

Congrats, Queen on your new film! I was just admiring your body of work and how well-rounded your career is (I'd just watched "Set It Off" for only the umpteenth time), with your cosmetic line, lingerie line, spokeswoman for Cover Girl, your 15-year sitcom in syndication on at least 2 major networks, etc. You make me so proud on so many levels. Much love to you, Ms. Owens and I can't wait to see what's in store for us in the near future.

"Queen"? You must mean the "King"!!! YUKK!!!

Can we please, please, please stop referring to dresses, shoes, etc as "nude" when they are not the same color as the skin of the person wearing them?? Call it "pink" or "peach" or something similar, but please not "nude" or worse, "flesh." Ugh.
