Abby Lee Miller is notable for her loud, boisterous personality and for her strict classroom control among her dancers, as featured on her reality show "Dance Moms." She appeared on "Anderson" (Weekdays, Syndicated) with several of her students and their mothers to talk about her teaching techniques and why she believes they are successful.

She talked about auditions. "The line is twice around the block. Kids go in, kids comes out. Abby's kids, they don't come out. They stay in there," she said. "Those kids need to have the discipline, the dedication and the knowledge to be able to do that."

Anderson Cooper then called her out for having never danced professionally herself. How then could she become a dance teacher? "Well, you know, those who can't do, teach," Miller laughed. But her results speak for themselves. And if they don't, several of her students were more than willing to speak on her behalf, along with their mothers.

"Abby is tough, but she yells at us because she wants us to get better," one young dancer said, And she believes they do get better under Miller's tough love approach.

"Dance Moms" kicked off its second season Tuesday, January 10 at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime. "Anderson" is syndicated daily, so check local listings for time and channel.
