Casey Anthony Says She Became Pregnant After Passing Out At Party

ORLANDO, Fla. — Casey Anthony told a psychiatrist that she became pregnant with her daughter, Caylee, after passing out at a party when she was 18 years old, according to depositions in which the doctor said tests gave no indication that Anthony was mentally ill as she faced her murder trial.

The 25-year-old Anthony was acquitted last July of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in a trial that captured the nation's attention. Anthony didn't know who fathered Caylee, the psychiatrist, Jeff Danziger, recounted in a deposition that was unsealed by a Florida judge and released Wednesday. Danziger interviewed Anthony five times over two years but never testified at her murder trial.

"Two beers, possibly given another drug. Woke up passed out," said Danziger, reading from notes he took during an interview with Anthony in November 2010. "Don't remember anything at a party, age 18. This is how she said she got pregnant."

Anthony is serving a year of probation at an undisclosed location in Florida on a check fraud charge.

Anthony showed no evidence of mental illness and had normal results on a psychological test, Danziger said in the deposition. He described that as surprising, given her circumstances in the Orange County Jail as a suspect in her daughter's slaying. Her temperament was calm, cooperative and pleasant, he said.

"You would expect that would provoke some measure of distress, whether someone genuinely did it, whether someone was falsely accused," Danziger said. "If my child was missing and I was in jail being accused of it, I probably wouldn't eat and wouldn't be cheerful and wouldn't be able to read."

Danziger said he was reluctant to recount all the information Anthony told him during his interviews with her, especially allegations that she had been sexually abused and her contention that her father played a role in covering up Caylee's death. Anthony told the psychiatrist that her father had found Caylee's drowned body in the family's swimming pool, helped disposed of it and then covered it up. During the trial, George Anthony denied playing any role in Caylee's disappearance or death.

Defense attorneys said during the trial that Anthony's father molested her when she was young, and Anthony told Danziger the same thing. George Anthony vehemently denied the allegation on the witness stand and defense attorneys provided no evidence to support it.

"As he has repeatedly said prior to the trial, during the trial and after the trial he never molested any member of his family including Casey Anthony," George Anthony's attorney, Mark Lippman, said Wednesday. "He had nothing to do with the death of Caylee Marie Anthony including what happened to her remains after she allegedly drowned."

Danziger didn't want to become "a vector" of her allegations of crimes against individuals who may not have done anything wrong, he said.

Caylee Anthony went missing in summer 2008, and her disappearance wasn't reported to authorities until a month later. Hundreds of volunteers searched for the missing girl. Anthony lied repeatedly to detectives, claiming a babysitter had kidnapped the toddler.

Transcripts of the depositions had been sealed. But the Orlando Sentinel asked the court to make them public and Judge Belvin Perry agreed.

The bombshell trial of Casey Anthony captivated the nation's attention. The Florida mother, pictured in this photo from her Photobucket.com account, was found not guilty of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Caylee.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photo

Amidst all of the hoopla surrounding the trial, some of Casey Anthony's personal photographs were released. Several of Anthony's photographs were used as evidence.

Prosecutors alleged that Casey Anthony killed her daughter, then misled authorities who were searching for the toddler. But her attorneys insisted that Caylee drowned in the family's swimming pool. The defendant's lawyers claimed that after years of abuse, Casey Anthony felt unable to reveal the truth.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photos

Prosecutors attempted to cast Casey Anthony as a party girl -- revealing that she took part in a "Hot Body" contest just four days after she claimed her daughter drowned in her family's pool.

Lawyers showed jurors photos of Casey Anthony partying, like this image, which was posted on the defendant's Photobucket.com account.

Casey Anthony reportedly told investigators that her daughter had been kidnapped by a nanny, but during the trial her attorneys claimed the child drowned.

One question that remains unanswered is the identity of Caylee Anthony's father. Casey Anthony reportedly told friends that the child's father was a "one night thing."

But her lawyers have floated a theory involving incest. Casey Anthony's attorneys pressed an FBI witness to tell jurors that the agency conducted a paternity test on the defendant's brother, Lee Anthony. The test came back negative.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photos

Investigators also conducted a paternity test on Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony, which also came back negative.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photos

Tests also revealed that Jesse Grund, a man Casey Anthony once dated, was not Caylee Anthony's father.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photos

Casey Anthony's family said they knew something was amiss when they detected a foul odor coming from the back of the defendant's car in July, 2008.

  • Casey Anthony Personal Photos

The trunk of the car actually contained a bag of trash, but prosecutors claimed that Caylee Anthony's body decomposed in the rear of the vehicle before it was moved to another location.

An insect expert for the defense stated that the body didn't decompose in the car because there wasn't any evidence of bugs that are often attracted to remains.

Caylee Anthony's remains were discovered near the family's home in December, 2008.

Prosecutors alleged that Casey Anthony killed her daughter by placing duct tape over her mouth. Duct tape was discovered wrapped around the todder's skull when the child's remains were recovered.

Casey Anthony was indicted on October 14, 2008, on charges of first-degree murder.

...the problem is, so many people think this tragedy started the day no one accounts for Caylee's whereabouts in July...it was ongoing for months before that, heck, just weeks before the child went missing, Cindy and Geo had taken Caylee with them on vacation...with or without Casey's permission/knowledge, [to teach Casey a lesson'] between May 30th and June 8th.
By June 9th, and through the 17th, Casey nor Caylee had slept at the Hopesprings address (all that week), then after a walk with Christina Chester on June 12th, Caylee is never seen alive again; though Casey returned to Hopesprings in the mid-afternoon on June 17th, looking for her. (causing the flurry of unanswered calls to friends and family)

*Casey told Amy Geo had a heart attack...on Friday the 13th...Casey moved-in at Tony's without Caylee, on Friday the 13th; ...and in her (written) account on July 15th, in LE reports, was her admission "I dropped Caylee off with the nanny...days later, when she described the event on the 14th as "there was a struggle with the nanny"....and as time went on, Casey told of the nanny's threat that had preceded the abduction; "nanny took the child to teach me a lesson...."

Just a difference of perception and perspective...like a slight-of-hand trick...

For the heinous murder story to protect the Anthony family, there had to be someone 'linked to years of trust, that Casey had complete confidence in Caylee's saftey, that was believable enough to convince Cindy the child was alive for 30 days after she had actually died in their yard. although my opinion is meer speculation...

But, can anyone dispute the child was never seen alive, face to face, after June 12th? Except the "curious timestamp" on a video of Caylee singing an old song for her G-G-Pa. and "the word of honor" from documented (and admitted) LIARS.

Caylee's condition on the 13th, as well as her whereabouts while she decomposed (in 2 positions) over the following 180 days, has never come to light...

The trial verdict might also mean that the jury found nothing evident that the child was murdered...only that 'by the evidence presented for trial, the child's death was not an intentional act by Casey...just that her death DID take place, b/c decomposition began...

The "crime of covering -up that fact" by withholding all evidence that the child had died, was the answer LE sought, but never found. That and the Father's Day video led everyone to believe the child was not dead on Father's Day...therefore, the date, location, cause, and which family member KNEW of the child's death and disappearance 2 weeks before her mother or Grandmother began to worry,. That all will remain SECRET within their family....unless the conspiracy is exposed.

*If everything was OK at the Anthony family home on June 14th, why did Geo pick-up night-vision equipment on June 14th, at the end of his work-shift.

“...they were all too busy to 'look' for Caylee, once LE became involved. Casey wasn't even home for the 4 days and nights between Friday the 13th through the 17th; she had taken clothes, laptop food and a phone to Tony's once she knew Caylee was with the 'nanny' whom she trusted 100%...and hoped until after Caylee's birthday, Aug 9th, that her daughter was still safe, b/c she loved her daughter, and trusted her parents.”

I will do my best to explain the points you brought up...one at a time...OK? Put the constraints of the whole heinous murder story aside...and for a moment, and just take in the view of the picture in the weeks before the child's body began to decompose....we don't know YET what killed her!

Don't grill me! Where is the proof to the heinous murder? Oh, all that stuff that didn't connect with the child's death...? There was NEVER any evidence to the moment in time that the child's death occured, b/c the next person to see that child, removed every little hair---and placed one in the trunk. OMG OPEN YOUR EYES...the clues are "missing" right in front of you!

Let me guess!
...the kind who had taken the child away from her mother from May 30 through June 8, to teach the mother [Casey] a lesson
...the kind who hide the fact the child has died; removed all signs the child was with them 'last', later, falsly testify against the one person they knew had no involvement or knowledge of the child's death
...the kind who knows that the only evidence to foul-play would decompose over 180 days; obscuring (forever) the facts of the cause, date, location, and their identity as the adult truly responsible for the child's death-event...the nanny [not to be mistaken for ZF-G]
...the kind of ex-cop/detective-parent who knew forensics could not connect their daughter (Casey) to the dead child b/c the child and the mother had not been face-to-face since June 14th.

The kind of parents who re-created the event [and the situation] to appear to be murder, by accusing the one person in the family who was not even at the Hopesprings address between June 12th and June 17th.... the kind who, since the trial, would like the event to be viewed as an accident in their yard...what part of this 500 pc puzzle "fits"...jury said NONE!

I know a retired FBI agent who I talked with yesterday.
I asked him about something you had written. about George leading the investigation .
He laughed and shook his head and said there is always lots of nonsense online

BTW, its curious since George was so careful to cover this up as you think, why would he use the same duck tape found at the swamp that he used to post missing
person posters. A former LE person would know forensics can learn a great deal from duck tape. Heck, even someone not in LE can watch crime shows on TV and know that !

Casey was giving them the runaround saying she was out of town. Cindy wanted to talk to Caylee and Casey was making up lies that Caylee was sleeping, or playing or whatever. It wasn't until Lee and Cindy pressured Casey about Caylees whereabosuts that Caseys makes up the story about the kidnapping. That's when Cindy called 911. and the search began.

The Truth Will Prevail.....

You know, there is a psychiatrist that is claiming, after reading the depositions from the psychiatrists who evaluated her, that she had clearly been molested by her father since sh was 8 and that he had learned to bury it deep within and pretend as though all is well thus how she reacted to her daughter missing by going out and partying. He stated his undeniable belief tt the father was guilty of it all. He points out that she has no psychiatric disorder, just a problem with self idenity. I totally disagree with that. I, myself, was sexually abused as a child by my own father and had a mother that was in complete denial and continued to turn her head ignoring it. I could in no way whatsoever, no matter being previously abused, go out partying after finding out my daughter was missing. I just don't think anyone could behave the way she did without having a serious psychiatric disorder. Plenty people have been victims of abuse, but don't behave this way

...I only know Casey was made to appear to be unfit and an "heinous murderer" to facilitate the and support the only evidence obtained (more than 45 days after the child's disappearance) and none of it was indicative of the event or that the child had indeed died...let alone, that Casey was involved in any part of it.

My wife and I can't wrap our heads around this thing, and couldn't when it was happening. During the trial, Caylee was hardly mentioned on the news coverage, and now, Caylee is lost again. I haven't a clue what happened to this little girl, and I’m quite certain I'm not smart enough to figure it out now. While we were not blessed with children, I am sure I know what my reaction would be if my child was missing, or I found out she was dead. I can tell you from then till now; this would not be it. Whether she killed her baby or not, how can any psychiatrist say this woman is not disturbed to the point of mental deficiency?

"During the trial, Caylee was hardly mentioned"

IMO because by that time (3 years after) the challenge was no longer focused on determining how Caylee died, but whether Casey could've been connected to evidence of the heinous murder story.
