Ziva reached a breaking point with Ray, who returned this week on "NCIS" (Tue., 8 p.m. EST on CBS). After leaving her at a restaurant, she decided that she was done with him. But playing on the emotional connection he still knew was there, Ray had one more surprise up his sleeve.
Moments after she told him it was too late and walked away from him, he dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring. "I love you. Now or never, Ziva David," he pleaded. "Will you marry me?"
She didn't have an answer for him, instead pulling him to his feet. She didn't say yes, but more importantly for Ray, she didn't say no. Luckily, she didn't decide to run off and elope with him, as the second surprise regarding Ray was that he was the ultimate target of this week's investigation. He was following what were, at one time, orders, but that was in Pakistan. He went rogue to complete the mission in the States.
Unlucky in love again, Ziva remains single for the slow continuation of the will they/won't they, should they/shouldn't they relationship with Tony DiNozzo.
