Miss New York Contestant Would Have Dinner With Hitler, City Councilman Charles Barron
DNAinfo profiled the 13 New York City women competing for the Miss New York crown this weekend in Westchester. The questions and answers range from the harmless:
DNAinfo: "What do you prefer: Bikini, Monokini, or one-piece swimwear?"Marquita Johnson of Prospect Heights/Park Slope: "I love bikinis!"
To the genuine:
DNAinfo: What makes you blush?Tonic Joyce Taylor of Jamaica: I blush when young girls come to me (or message me on Facebook and Twitter) telling me how much I inspire them to chase their dreams...
To the bizarre, from a a 21-year-old City College student studying political science and Jewish studies :
DNAinfo: If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be & why?Merlix Ventura of Washington Heights: "Hitler because I am intrigued by the Holocaust and I would love to know his reasoning for genocide. If it was a person from our time, I would say Charles Barron because I would like to know what motivates him to be so active with the community."
As Noreen Malone notes, "Pretty sure it was 'he was a completely evil sociopath who hated Jews,' Merlix." And as for Charles Barron, you may know him as the City Councilman who eulogized slain Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi. But hey! It's your dinner Merlix!
