Tim Tebow's Fire: John Parr, 'St. Elmo's Fire' Songwriter, Adjusts 1985 Hit Song As Tribute To Tim Tebow (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 01/12/12 02:40 PM ET Updated: 01/13/12 02:02 PM ET

Tim Tebow has inspired a lot of people -- some of those people make beer in his honor, some take pictures of themselves Tebowing, while others write songs about him.

Count John Parr, English musician best known for his 1985 hit song "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)," as another person apparently inspired by Tim Tebow. Parr has updated his hit "St. Elmo's Fire" to honor the Denver Broncos quarterback and he's called it: "Tim Tebow's Fire."

Where the original "St. Elmo's Fire" began with: "Growing up / You don't see the writing on the wall / Passing by / Moving straight ahead you knew it all," the new "Tim Tebow's Fire" Parr begins with: "Growing up / Gotta keep your eye on the ball / Make it fly / Give it everything, give your all" -- you get the idea.

"Tim Tebow's Fire" even gets a new chorus: "All I need's my Broncos team / Take me where my future's lying / Tim Tebow's Fire."

Give "Tim Tebow's Fire" a listen above or listen to the original "St. Elmo's Fire" below:

Matthew 6:1 "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."

Matthew 6:9 "And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men."

Tim Tebow is the best man to come along for football in years. His faith and belief is real and not "put on" like a lot of those who think(wrongfully) that they're God's gift to football and have to put on a goshawfull dance to their heritage every time they make a play.Plays that they are paid to make in most instances: unless I'm wrong defensive players are paid to make tackles and interceptions ,etc. but you'd think they're the greatest every time they make one. I just hope that success doesn't make Tebow act crazy because he will succeed at football !!!!

Get real !!! Tebow is a lousy quaterback. He has more missed passes than a drunk at the bar. I actually think he is color blind since his passes are so off target. If you think he is the next savior for the Broncos you might as well bet that Elway starts. Now he is was one of the greatest. Prediction, sorry, fact, Tebow will be destroyed in his next and final play-off game. If he is lucky enough to have a great team to make him look good next year, you can bet he will lose in the first round of play-offs if they make it all. Denver wake up!!!! and look for a real QB. Sorry its the truth

You people just don't get it yet, do you.  Jesus Christ has returned as Tim Tebow.  You better get ready for his 1,000 year reign as Bronco's quarterback.  They will be expanding Mile High Stadium to 144,000 seats in order to fit all of the chosen.  Road trips could get a little ugly as Tebow throws for 316 yards in every game and then smites the crowd.

This is it folks, this is what the second coming looks like.  Never would have thunk, would ya?

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

That is not part of the evangelical gospel.  The evangelical bible ends at Leviticus and picks up again at Revelation.

So you get to pick and choose which parts of the bible you like and discard the parts you don't agree with? Aces!

Now that's a religion for me! I can leave out all that crap about damnation and you cant do this or can't do that, and just take the parts I like. Then I'll give it a new name and I'm set!

"Tim Tebow's Fire?" Sounds like Tim needs a Prilosec (or Tucks Medicated Pads).

Seems unfair that the entire team isn't getting credit. Maybe next game they'll let Tebow go it alone.
Imagine if Tebow left Denver for another team...

that was very helpful. always wondered why your god ignores all of the starving children around the world. or is he just watching football all the time?

To all the hater s out there finally something the American people are rally around. Agree or disagree with his religion you cannot deny the fact. The more people pounce on him the bigger he becomes. I thought people were smarter. America loves to see an underdog succeed. Tebow did in spectacular fashion.

the people who throw the word "haters" around are those with hate in their heart. christ has not taught you well. you should read the quaran, the one true book of god. praise allah! allah is the god of love. peace be with the hypocrites.

Underdog? You are talking about a Heisman Trophy winner.

"The more people pounce on him the bigger he becomes"...isn't that from Star Wars?

Tebow 3:16: For the world so loved the Tebow that they made him their adored Bronco son, and whosoever believeth on him should not relent but be ever more fanatical, unless he stops winning or the next one comes along.

Stops winning ? That will be this week and you should hope someone else comes along
