Great. His interviews with Joseph Campbell are still the best interviews ever conducted on TV. I am so happy he's back.

Thank Goodness this man is back. I often think about the reaction if Jesus came back and physically walked the earth. The hate machine that has been trying to take this President down wraps itself in 'Christianity" . I can just imagine his reaction to the Romney s of this world." Let me get this straight Mr President wannabe. You agreed to cover workers pensions in the gear grinder project at the front end and then refused to do it at the tail end when your refinancing caused the company to go broke. ' I wonder how Willard would answer in that exchange.
I cannot even begin to imagine if Jesus were to talk to Glen Beck and Limbaugh.

Spirituality?? Who is God and where is He?? Does He answer prayers?? Should we believe in the God of religion, place priests, rabbis, clergy, ministers, popes etc. or are we all a people of God?? Religion keeps you coming back based on shame and guilt, they have rules and regulations and base their theology on your being good enough for God or what you can do for God. Most if not all is backwards, false teaching and shallow at best. God already did it for us, we do absolutely nothing for His Grace and for our Salvation Jesus did that on the Cross. When clergy or any religion tell you all the must do's to be on Gods god side they are lying, pure and simple, they want your money so they can get paid and have their name and game like a ponzi scheme, . Church is when two or more are gathered together in His name, not a building, a synagogue or temple.
Everything we have been led to believe about God, well almost everything through churches and religions, cults and the like has been false teaching, God is our Father, Jesus is our Brother, we are made in His image and likeness and we have dominion over the earth and everything in it. We do not need to hang Mother Mary from our windshield, have Jesus on the Cross, Jesus is not on the Cross, he was for a time then taken down and was resurrected.

I am very surprised that Bill is not going on MSNBC. His views fit in with that network a little more than PBS. But I guess his views are those of many PBS listeners and he has found a fit.

I totally agree. Congress wants to protect Un-AMerICAN capitalism. True capitalism has freedom to compete & produce something VIABLE that does NO HARM. The finite corruption is how we elect our Politicians who vie for Campaign funding. If WE THE PEOPLE paid for civic positions - Mayor to President with set auditable campaigns, with limits based on region, population & median income. Limit occupation types. If you have 5 lawyers, they must compete w/each other for the highest signatures to GET on the Ballot. So we have more equal representation in Congress that REPRESENTS us: Fireman, Police, Engineers, Teachers, Builders, Businessmen. Congress has 47% millionaires, with 55 mbrs >$10 M and 28% are Lawyers.
Fixing our electoral process, we eliminate: Corp-4-profit Lobbyists, Corp or PAC donations to any politician, time wasted for collecting money for next campaign. We allow fair debates, media & print coverage for ALL candidates. Able to vote for the Individual instead of a party system. We spend time protecting WE THE PEOPLE from loops holes, white collar crime/greed. Put computers into the SEC, auditors, prosecutors to determine who is $elling something for Nothing, who is using Fiat money, who is stripping our manufacturing/production companies, who is Too BIG to fail.
When we limit: terms in Congress, life of Corps (tax by longer life, expansion) then they divest at 100yrs, the size: of Banks, Company from owning multi-media -- we would be more free, have more of an opportunity to build a successful society.

Bill is a really sensible guy and we can use a lot more of his type verses the commercial radio mouths who offer little productive or positive commment.

Interesting man. He seems to forget that there are propagandists on both sides of the political spectrum. He has sided with one. 1. His comment on slavery being driven out of the discussion was fascinating, yet, he seems to ignor the fact that Progressives have been the leaders of driving religion out of the history books just as slavery was driven out. 2. Another issue is the lack of focus on immigration and the upward mobility of various groups within our society. We still have an abundance of people coming to our country to gain political and economic freedom. Our definition of poverty is often higher than many countries. Interestingly, the asian immigrants seem to have migrated to the upper echelons of society while other groups having been here longer remain at the bottom. No one has done a real study on the trueprogress or problems with upward mobility. We ignor the problem of how to get people out of poverty and the Progressives just use entitlements as a way of satisfying their own egos rahter than the true 'hands up' approach of the Conservatives.

I love Bill Moyers. My first experience with his excellent form of journalism came with one of his exposes of the corruption that is televangelism in the 1980s. Great job, Ms. Huffington.

I agree with Ms. Huffington. Bill Moyers being back on television is very good for the country. He is, in fact, The Gold Standard of American journalism. I have to believe that if we had more real journalists out there like him, we wouldn't be in such an horrific mess. More power to both of you.

Moyers mentioned his 1st program back on PBS next Monday(1/16/12) evening will be an interview with the two-authors of the recent book, "Winner Take All Politics". I've read it and can guarantee you will learn a great deal more about the purchase of our democracy by the corporate/uber-rich oligarchy that the Greed Over People(GOP) personifies. Please watch it. An aside: My favorite Moyers quote ever is, "Money ruined democracy."

This interview shows there is a bastion of reason amid the cacaphony of screetch that passes for political discourse in the USA. Mr. Moyers comments about the "memory hole" from George Orwell's essay undescores the need for journalists and those in government to read and understand history IN IT'S PROPER CONTEXT so we can pursue real solutions to real problems.

I hope the voters of the US will press political candidates to abolish the rhetoric and force them to reveal their ways and means of improving the economic, political and social problems of the day.
