Dana Loesch, CNN Contributor, Says She'd Urinate On Taliban Soldiers Too (AUDIO)

First Posted: 01/13/12 01:20 PM ET Updated: 01/13/12 02:32 PM ET

CNN contributor and conservative radio host Dana Loesch said on her show that she not only thinks the Marines who urinated on dead Taliban soldiers are cool, but she'd be willing to join them.

After playing a news clip describing the video, Loesch said, "I'd drop trou and do it too. That's me, though. I want a million cool points for these guys." She wondered why there was any kind of scandal surrounding the incident.

"C'mon people, this is a war," she said. "Do I have a problem with that as a citizen of the United States? No, I don't."

Loesch made the comments on "The Dana Show," which airs daily on FM News Talk 97.1, a conservative radio station in St. Louis, Mo. The station also syndicates shows from Glenn Beck, Laura Ingrahm, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage.

Leosch is also the editor-in-chief of Big Journalism, Andrew Breitbart's conservative website. She was the co-founder of the St. Louis Tea Party, but according to Riverfront Times, she left the group in December.

Loesch isn't the only one to celebrate the actions of the Marines seen in the video. On Thursday, conservative blogger and provocateur Pamela Geller expressed her support and "love" for the Marines, saying that she doesn't "CAIR that these Marines wee wee'ed on murderous savages." (CAIR is the acronym for Council on American-Islamic Relations).

UPDATE: CNN released a statement about Loesch's comments on Friday:

“CNN contributors are commentators who express a wide range of viewpoints—on and off of CNN—that often provoke strong agreement or disagreement. Their viewpoints are their own.”

This witch should be fired & those soldiers court-martialed for desecrating that corpse. As a military vet, I'm horrified at their insensitivity & treatment of someones family member.

Watching Dana at cpac12 was really sad.. This is how the cpac mobilizes mobs? The difference between tea party and occupy? One is sane and the other? Figure it out

This CNN spokesperson appears to be channeling Ilse Koch, the infamous "witch" of Buchenwald. Just a little war here, and a little war there and look what we have managed to turn ourselves into.

I know I watch way too many of those docudrama's, but there is a certain honor in a soldiers death in war. I realize this honor is not necessarily seen by the other side, but there is no need to take that away from any family by desecrating the body of a soldier of war that can harm you no more. After all, you have already taken his life. Most wars are won from honor, which is why this country is outraged by her soldiers doing this.

I wouldn't give them "cool points" or celebrate what they did, but condemning Marines for actions they did in combat isn't the way to go either.
04:25 PM on 02/20/2012
Why is condemning the desecration of corpses "not the way to go"? In what scenario is this a neutral action that deserves not praise nor condemnation? Are you seriously suggesting that if a taliban fighter pissed on a marine after killing him/her would be a natural and permited act of war?

Problem is, it also violates the military code of conduct. So apparently she doesn't care that these Marines disobeyed orders.

Until this female Chickenhawk signs up for the Corp, & actually serves in a combat position in Afghanistan, her opinion holds no validity. There are some place you just don't go in war, but then she wouldn't know that, would she?
